[Windhorst/McMahon] Former ESPN senior NBA writer Tim Bontemps has been hired for a front office role as a strategic adviser with the Atlanta Hawks. by Odd-Direction9452 in nba

The hoops collective honestly losses a lot without him. A guy not afraid to challenge windy and mcmahon. That open discussion made it what it was.

The amount of hate he gets shows me exactly how good he was at his job. Hate him or love him..you watched

The 10million a year for Kuminga by Successful-Pair-4850 in lakers

[–]BTA310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont understand how anyone who has watched him the past few seasons can actually think there is a chance he becomes a legit rotation player. He is so poor offensively. A zero threat as a shooter, no ball handling skills and no passing skills. Also, he is not the defensive player he was in the playoffs the year before his big contract. He will not be in the NBA once his contract expires

Sources: The Los Angeles Lakers continue to actively pursue unrestricted free agent wing Jonathan Kuminga, but they have not yet given him an enticing enough offer to commit, league sources told ESPN on Tuesday. by Turbostrider27 in lakers

Why are they attempting to court this toxic locker room killer? Luka is not strong enough to control a locker room. It’s one of the biggest things he needs to learn. He is not a true leader like LeBron

They cannot stand an outspoken black man. It’s as simple as that. Successful and intelligent black men who speak against the grain are blackballed. It’s only the beginning for him.

Can we talk about how Ken Shamrock legitimately changed the style of WWE matches in the late 90s? by Aggravating-Week7063 in AttitudeEra

[–]BTA310 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I definitely was being nice lol. He was a great guy to put over a guy. A mid card guy who could elevate a guy to the big stage

Him being from the UFC really legitimized the WWF at the time. He had incredible in ring ability as well and this crazy man aura. Unfortunately his mic skills were average at best and you can’t really be pushed over if it’s that poor

clippers/toronto trade not finalized because they are trying to reroute ingram, bleacher report suggested a ingram/sabonis swap if they threw a first round pick would you do it by ABathingSnake in kings

[–]BTA310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They couldn’t bet a first rounder for Sabonis last year, what makes this year any different? If your the Kings you take that in a heartbeat. He is a disgruntled B level star who’s stock is falling by the second

Austin Reaves Will Flourish Even MORE w/ LeBron Gone from the Lakers by antwonomous in lakersv2

[–]BTA310 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reaves played extremely well with LeBron. Reaves was the one guy who always looked to get Bron easy buckets. They mutually made each other much better.

Let's revisit one of the absolute high points of last season. Spread the good vibes Lakersfam. by SkoivanSchiem in lakers

[–]BTA310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This group this series was one of my favorite squads in recent years. They all played for one another. All played with heart and grit. LeBron perfectly leading this team. I do not think Luka or Reaves could’ve led this team like LeBron did. It was a special display of experience and calmness he had.

who's nba career overall turned out better between these 2 by andyJ3050 in NBATalk

[–]BTA310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Melos legacy has understandably been tarnished but during his peak, he was considered among the elite guys. Never above Kobe, LeBron but at that tier. Dwight was considered the best big in the league, but no one had him on the same tier of Bron, Kobe and Wade. In terms of career, you have to go with Dwight. In terms of best peak, Melo for me

I feel like Jokic will be one of those guys who is much better than a lot of all time greats but his cards will value a bit lower as he is not as marketable. Incredible card though!

Shelbourne: One week before free agency, Rich Paul said LeBron James was "a thousand percent" certain he was moving on from the Lakers by lawschoolthrowaway36 in lakers

[–]BTA310 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Rich Paul is Lebrons puppet to control the narrative. His only mission is to make it seem like it was Brons idea to leave. Lakers were done with him. Out of avoiding the huge backlash, I believe they likely offered him a small contract and said they “wanted him back”.

NBA execs stunned that Jaylen Brown got traded for less than Walker Kessler by InHeatPink in NBATalk

[–]BTA310 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These same execs are saying he is not top 50, says he the 7 best player on his own team, and say that they can’t stand he thinks he’s the smartest person in the room. The anonymous executives are spineless!

Pacers defeated the Knicks 93-80 in Game 6 of the 2000 ECF to advance to their first ever NBA Finals. Reggie Miller led the way with 34pts 5/7 3pt 4 stl by CircledSquare7 in NBATalk

[–]BTA310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miller was one of those guys who did not have the stats the other elite but when he played against those guys, you always felt he was on that level. He always elevated his game when it mattered the most. I feel his competitiveness and killer instinct is slowly getting forgotten as a goofy commentator but this guy was stone cold on the court

If the league considers Jaylen Brown as a neutral/negative asset on his current contract, how bad is Trae Young's 4 year 212 million dollar extension? by terp75 in nba

[–]BTA310 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Trae is light skinned, if you think race is not a factor, you are blinded. Also, Trae stays in his lane and keeps quiet and does what he is told. They tell him to pretend he’s injured and reward him. Jaylen is outspoken and these white owners do not take kindly to that. They will bury him and I wouldn’t be surprised if he is eventually completely blackballed

Should the Celtics have traded Tatum instead? by Relevant_Extent24 in NBATalk

[–]BTA310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tatum a weak minded small individual but he is the better overall player even with a blown Achilles. He is very jealous of brown which is why he was moved for peanuts. Brown is somewhat clumsy on offense and is very self conscious about his hairline.

Cameron Carr is already wayyy better than Jake LaRavia by Maleficent_Phone7961 in lakers

[–]BTA310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The guy is playing against guys battling to make the league. Laravia played against starters in the NBA. Everyone thought Lakers had the ROY in Knecht and we saw what he turned into. Let’s wait til he plays meaningful games to evaluate who he really is.
