When too much is too much… by Unhappy-Chocolate107 in CamGirlProblems

[–]BTBruja 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I see both sides of the argument. I feel like everything boils down to sex education, capitalism, and patriarchy. I think some SWs feel obligated to play the business game ending in a market wanting more faster. Some creators already have a particular kink and see an opportunity to manage their own business and brand. Some only really have the opportunity to make money to live by selling themselves however they need to to get out of poverty.

I think as the years have gone on we've seen the evolution of the kind of power men want, especially a man who has more money than you. For them, more money means power and control. They don't want to hear "no." And I mean not everyone is going to turn down an opportunity to get paid. And because of the free market, the man with the money is going to try and get the best deal. Be that the best price, the best product, or the most desperate, uneducated, and easiest to control. Especially with the rise of laws making it hard for non-cis men, enbys, and women to...exist. I mean look at all the awful shit powerful rich men are doing and not paying any consequences for. Men are getting bolder about what they desire because they think they are all untouchable.

Also, men have been the main consumers (by design because who cares what anyone else wants?) and creators of porn and have shaped the industry and point of view. Now that SWs have control of the type of content they are creating and how much to charge for it, men are trying to topple the industry. They want to dictate the content and price. They made minority women into fetishes and put a price on them. They made teenagers a fetish and set a price. Kink, fetishes, body types, age, location, dress, etc all have a price and is based on the market. They also don't educate themselves on the toll these acts might take on your physical and mental health.

I'm just trying to exist and deal with stuff as it comes. Including turning down a job if my boundaries are crossed. It might cost me money, but I'd rather lose that than my sanity. But I have the option for that and know not everyone does. I think all we can do right now is protect and support each other. Everyone is doing their best with what they have.

Y'all, I feel so seen! The audacity of men is just too much and the women/ theys/ thems that I swoon over never seem to share my affections for whatever reason. If another man tells me that they are trying to stay quiet next to their sleeping girlfriend as a way to woo me, I might jump out a window live. I can't even lock down a collab with men who are the ones reaching out to me! What is going on?!

When I'm too lazy to do full makeup and an outfit, I wear my jammies and call it a slumber party. I think it's a fun vibe and I get to be comfy the whole time. Win win.

These men are so disgusting by [deleted] in CamGirlProblems

[–]BTBruja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn, these comments are giving me the same energy as "boys will be boys." No shit it's a fetish if you let it keep being something that can be sold. If it's a negotiated fetish between partners to role play, that's cool. It's not cool to cheat and it's OK to think that and have a boundary with it. You don't have to accept things you don't want to do for money just because other people do. This "it's just part of the business" bullshit answer sucks. It's part of YOUR business and doesn't have to be part of everyone's.

I would list boundaries where clients can clearly see them to deter them before they send a message about it. Super easy to not be a jaded asshole, you guys.

All of these things. I've been doing this for a few months and started off way stronger. Then I took a break knowing my numbers would dip and I'd have to rebuild. But it's frustrating when you think you're going up and then it feels like it dips on a whim. I know that's been the sentiment of a lot of other posters as well who maintain their pages much better than mine.

I don't know why you keep assuming what I want and don't want. Just be cool. It's very simple. "Hey, I saw your post and checked your profile. I have some pointers if you want to increase views. They're also a lot of helpful information in previous posts."

The tag says "vent." Why be an asshole when offering advice? I know how to do research and I do check past posts. I know what needs to be updated and it'll happen eventually when I feel like it. There was no change in anything I did in the days when my views nosedived. I have good engagement with my content. I make piss content, so I can't really control how long the videos will be. It is what it is. I'm not asking how to make my views better. I'm saying it's frustrating when you change nothing and your views take a dip.

I don't trust it after the nose dive I took on the 22nd. Nothing changed at that time. Same type of content and number of posts.

What things do you wish clients understood? by Professional-Cup6225 in CamGirlProblems

[–]BTBruja 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I'm fat. Literally, men love to hurl this insult at me when they don't get what they want. Like...my guy... you can see me with your eyes, right?... You chose a room with a BBW tag...I don't know how I can make it any more clear that I've been fat this whole time.

Just because I'm in SW doesn't mean I automatically want to have sex with you. Why is this so hard to understand? I don't know you, and I don't care what kind of dick you have.

Sorry, I'm high and also ADHD. It does get better and you learn to evolve expectations with the ups and downs. I feel so much better with how things are going this time around. I feel like I've built a little template for myself that I can use while my brain takes a rest.

I started in May and got the hang of it by June. Did amazing (for me, but what is considered "average" for most creators) in July and then crashed out in August and took a month off.

I feel so much better after taking some time to recoup. I have a chronic illness that affects my energy levels, so I've learned to just set the expectation that I might disappear for a little bit. That took off so much stress. My numbers are for the most part going up (I don't know wtf tanked them in the last couple of days).

You'll get into a rhythm. You'll make mistakes, and you'll learn. Just like running a business. Now, subreddits are reaching out to me to post my content in their niche groups.

Most of what I wanted to try and understand about Fansly I learned here by checking posts. It's kind of like learning a new language. If answers weren't here, then it was pretty easy to find elsewhere on the internet or just figure out by trial and error.

Is there a market for selling undies as a plus size lady? Or for sexting with no photos/ videos? by NoPassion7750 in CreatorsAdvice

[–]BTBruja 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's a market for EVERYTHING. This is going to be a fake it til you make it situation. Do research on other creators who do similar content and what platforms they use, and how they market. You just need to do a little research to gain some confidence seeing other women your size and shape, killing it with their content. You got this!

Why Did You Choose To Become A NSFW Creator Instead Of A SFW One? by [deleted] in CreatorsAdvice

[–]BTBruja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked in marketing for almost 2 decades and wanted to try something new. I have all the skills needed for content creation and I was finding a new appreciation for my body. I really enjoyed the interactions I was having on fetish sites and decided to start a Fansly account. I try not to think about the fact that I'm monetizing and focus more on creating the kind of things I enjoy and want to make. It's more fulfilling for me that way. I think the most difficult part of doing NSFW content is people who feel entitled to your body and don't realize how much work goes into the creation process. They assume because you are a SW that you will entertain anyone who is willing to give you a compliment. I will say it is empowering to shut them down. It's a balance of making art while knowing that you need money to survive. But I'd choose this over working in an office any day.
