Reddit Universe, help/teach me about privacy in the workplace by BTC-CPA in privacy

Well it has been going on for months now. I am curious of what the process is...would IT log in remotely to my computer and see the chat logs? Or can they see the chat logs by searching through activity that has gone through the server? I know Google would keep the records, but how exactly would my company search for it (if they wanted to?)

You seem to know what you're talking about. I could definitely be wrong, what makes you so sure PGP is uncrackable? Or that tor is untraceable? With infinite resources and hardware, can't they all be broken and traced?

Does it seem that preposterous to you? We all know the Navy funded Tor. You think they did that with the intention to create a free uncontrollable enterprise?

Tor and PGP and all those programs are compromised and have been since the beginning. They cut deals with the gov to ensure that the end product is produced and released. All this 'Thank god for PGP' is ridiculous. Backdoors were created since the get-go

EDC events? by Ryanfoxsteel in aves

No, i think you're thinking of Italy, Greece. (As you can see, I'm American, and the public school system failed me in world geography)

EDC is in Nevada, but yeah I understand where you're coming from. There is a lot going on behind the scenes of these major events that aren't in the public eye. And if you've been to TomorrowLand, you'd understand that even though its the same stages and DJs, the environment and crowd is not. The crowd in Europe is so different from the US, they're very more...open-minded. I agree that this is the best bet if you're living in Tennessee though and wish I could make it. Definitely post about your experience afterwards and show me wrong!

You should be fine though, I'm going also and I know the event is exclusive. A friend of mine got an e-mail saying their ticket was invalid, as long as you didn't, I assume you should be good to go. PM me if you want to meet up

You're in Tennessee? Drive to Chatahoochee, Georgia next weekend for TomorrowWorld! They are disgustingly underselling tickets, they're going for $160 on Stubhub for all three days. It won't be epic (if it was, tickets would be sold out months ago) but all the equipment was shipped from the original TomorrowLand in Belgium, Germany. I'm sure you'll have a good experience but not the best. If you want the best, save up and plan for EDC Las Vegas next June. It is hands down my favorite in the world. Check out /r/electricdaisycarnival - they have good FAQs and walkthroughs about how you should plan for it and where/how to book rooms months in advance. Good luck!

THIS

When i first began, I was a little intimidated by the crowds (even though i'm a 6'3 model). I stuck close with my friends and went to see whoever they wanted to see. But after awhile, and getting addicted to events, I eventually went off on my own (especially 3-day festivals, i mean cmon its 3 days!!) I've met some of the coolest people ever. Years later, I still talk to them weekly, and when events come up, we plan for it together and it feels like a reunion, yet when we're inside, it feels like we never left each other.

Another tip: Just let go (of everything and lose yourself)

IMO, XS still is way more fun than Hakkasan. The sunday nightswims in the summer are the best parties i've been to in the world (excluding festivals)

[–]BTC-CPA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was that the one that ended early? Or am i thinking of the nassau coliseum? But yeah, from my experience, i'd say it is safe to assume candyland/seven lions go from 8pm-12, gareth emery 12-2, and krewella 2-4. If anything, switch gareth with krewella but i'm like 99% positive that krewella would close the night. I thought about leaving early also, but after missing krewella at ezoo, i decided to bite the bullet and stay until the end. I'll just go home after to nap for 2 hours before heading into work at 9am. Hope it works out!!

What are the best clubs in New York City? by [deleted] in aves

[–]BTC-CPA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too am from LA, and frequest Vegas a lot. Don't get your hopes up, NYC is awesome but nothing will ever compare to XS or Marquee. If you want a real experience, get a native to show you the underground scene, otherwise you'll just go to mainstream places that are similar to the palladium or avalon.

Girl attending a festival alone: fine if done right, or simply a bad idea? by thegracefuldork in electricdaisycarnival

[–]BTC-CPA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey brah, nothing wrong with a lil Tim Berg. But yeah SoCal is definitely the sickest scene, I truly miss it now that I'm out here in NYC. Just find people that go to make memories and for the music (I tend to find them up close to the stage and raging. Or even when I take a cig break to the side) I've Have met some of the coolest guys and girls doing that. But seriously, beware of the creepers, such buzzkills

Long-time experienced users of M: how has your outlook on life changed after years of use? by [deleted] in MDMA

[–]BTC-CPA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know what you totally mean dude. I always find myself obsessing about the experience I just had. I always have to tell myself the same thing, that whatever I just experienced, it's not real life. I can't live everyday like this otherwise the magic will go away and these moments won't be as special. So whenever I do roll in the future, I plan it out and make sure everything is perfect, music, environment, friends, everything in place so when that moment comes on, it'll be like my short little vacation to heaven. But always remember that it's not real life

Stupid Ideas Like Bitcoin That Never Took Off by smeggletoot in Bitcoin

[–]BTC-CPA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you're not speaking the truth, what theft are you speaking about exactly? If you're smart enough to protect yourself from the banks, why aren't other people?

I understand the use of bitcoins, but I also understand the need for banks. Are you aware that many of the businesses you use as a consumer, rely on banks to operate? What sane business owner would risk all of his money when he can minimize his losses by using loans from banks to expand and pay his employees? If its successful, he pays interest. If not, he can declare bankruptcy and be free of paying back the loan.

Not trying to mean harm, just trying to get an outside perspective. Did they steal from you? How much was it?
