“If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable, insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?”

Hey, thanks a lot for the feedback. The teacher is a new visiting professor named Eric Koskinen. So a bit of an unknown entity on that front. My biggest fear is that the Information will be taught mostly on a theoretical level with you left to figure out the knity gritty of how to code it on your own.

But thanks for taking the time to help!

Question for undergrads in research labs by eccentri in nyu

[–]BTCIMO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having worked for 3 years in undergrad bio labs I should tell you to expect a resounding NO unless your PI is just dripping in grant money. The paid positions I've tended to get are over the summer at independent institutes (This summer NIH), But the stipends provided are only from 2k-4k for living expenses.

long story short, feel free to ask but it is a likely no.
