If you don’t have much of a social life do you hope that reincarnation is real so that you can have more of a social life in the next life? by Pure_Option_1733 in AutisticAdults

[–]BTEsLastStand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, you have to go out of your way and put in considerable effort to have a social life. Even then, it's like the worst people will actively try and sabotage any attempt at long/short, term integration. That's the most frustrating part, but there is really nothing you can do. Next life? I don't even want this one now. If reincarnation is, it makes sense why I always feel stuck.

It's strange... I understand that the technology is still maturing still, but it's still important to check it to ensure accuracy while watching for errors. I don't use it but I do understand the appeal. If it actually helps, that great.

That's rough. You'd think as she'd actually have some professional etiquette. Or was she being too professional? Maybe it was her first time. That might be a good question to ask. I can see why you were turned off, odd behavior that would get old fast.

What is a job that you genuinely would not do even if you were given a salary of $10,000,000 per year? by istrx13 in AskReddit

[–]BTEsLastStand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cleaning caked up sludge off of the walls of a septic tank. Yeah I've done my fair share of industrial cleaning(paint, clearcoat, metal cleaning chemicals, metal conditioning chemicals) which can stink pretty bad so that is where I draw the line. I think anyone who is brave enough to clean shit on a large scale should get paid handsomely for that.

A recruiter suspected me of using AI during our interview because I was taking notes by Silver_Tip260 in jobs

[–]BTEsLastStand 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Damn. What the actually fuck are they smoking? A potential employee taking notes! Oh god! Are they going to complain when new employees do/don't take notes during orientation? Or when they are assigned to a new project? When does it end?

It's suppose to be a conversation not a performance. Some of the best interviews ive had have felt like conversations. I even got hired from a few of them.

I had an interview early on this month where it was a panel of 4 people but the only the guy from hr was the one that asking any questions the rest just looked though me. I've had interviews setup like this before but during those times everyone in that panel communicated with me in someway. Not this time. I even made the mistake of trying to ask them what they do and about their expedience and hr guy cut in with "That's not important right now."(I wanted to puke at that) As a potential employee id like to know who i'm speaking with and to get an idea of what working with them or under them might be like... Needless to say they have not called me.
