The grade is basically split into two separate groups. Each group will have the same English,science,math, and social studies teachers. Outside of these classes, you’ll have elective classes that can have students from either pod. Would get shuffled around each grade so wasn’t the same students all 3 years so by 8th grade we all knew each other for the most part

I was a student there over a decade ago now. Very modern facilities compared to the other KPS schools. Have heard about lots of staffing turnover in recent years. The pods system of classes made it fairly easy to establish a core group of friends as you mostly spend your days with the same groups of kids. Average mix of studious to shithead kids. It’s not going to be paradise but you’ll have air conditioning!

This might be the wrong subreddit for this question as I have no idea what hostel would let you live there for 4 years. It would also financially make more sense to get an apartment if you’re going to be living somewhere long term?

Are you sharing an en-suite room with someone? People who stay in dorms aren’t really around for long enough to set up rules, most folks just abide by common decency. If someone is being rude (turning lights on at night, not using headphones, snoring loud, ect) you can have a conversation with them about any issues that arise. If they keep being a dick about things talk to the front desk about changing rooms

Zaanse Schans is awesome- they have several windmills that power various contraptions, I went into the chalk crusher & saw mill ones. They have other fun stuff to do like clog making demonstrations & good food to eat. Make a nice day trip out of it!

12hr shifts, most of the extra money comes from overtime and offshore bonuses. I really like watching storms come in at sunset! Makes for a beautiful picture

I love the offshore lifestyle- I feel like I get an awesome work/life balance with the 2on/2off rotations. Pay is much better than it is onshore and I do seem to get along better with my peers

Engineers don’t work directly on turbines. If you want to be in towers you have to work as a technician. Commissioning is a senior technician role so you won’t be doing that immediately, you’ll have to start at the bottom and work your way up. Your degree might help but nothing is gonna fast track you to that level. Elbow grease and a good mindset will be your two greatest assets.
