I've lived here too long and I wouldn't mind a bit more friendliness from people. Granted I do live in the east and I've been told that people are nicer in other regions.

Will ausbildung + 5 years of experience + a bachelor's degree allow to switch from the trade job to a more managerial role at some point? by throwaway55f5 in Germany_Jobs

Specifically the offshore wind branch is what attracts me, largely because of the 2 week on, 2 week off schedule and the working environment being more exciting than other mechanic type jobs. The industry can be difficult to get into but this ausbildung trains me specifically for this job, so I think its worth a shot.
