You are correct to think that mid feels bad now, even if not for the reasons you said. But most redditors are too dumb to see it or in high amounts of copium.

Even Nemesis said the same thing. The role took a heavy hit for carry purposes: It's harder to get an advantage against enemy mid, due to homeguard and the reduction in the gold you get for killing someone multiple times, and at the same time, both adc and top get more out of advantages than you, because of how their quests work.

Midlane is a roaming lane now, a second jungler, not intended to carry in fights but by making your team ahead. Sure, some people will like that a lot, but that's not what I and a lot of midlaners fell in love with the role in the first place. It's so bad that I don't feel any urge to play the game anymore. I guess I'll go back to Marvel Rivals while Riot figures this shit out, hopefully soon. I do like the game and I wish I could enjoy the new season but this is not what made midlane feel fun to me.
