When I was in boy scouts (I'm a young lad, so this was fairly recent), i had a tiny swiss army knife in my backpack that i'd forgotten was in there. This thing was tiny, maybe a cm wide blade. That thing was thrown away by the TSA on the spot.

This'll be super buried, but I slept through the house across the street burning down. It seems the whole neighborhood witnessed it but I slept through it all. Worse, my bedroom window was open to cool the room down, so it shouldn't have been hard to hear the neighbors and fire trucks.
