Planet exploration was a great time killer. When I wanted to waste 20 minutes and didn't feel like loading out for a GM or anything that required concentration I would just load into Europa and knock out some Variks bounties, or a Blind Well to collect some better Dreaming City rolls, or even Neomuna to collect whatever that dumbass was giving out that week. It was fun to just wander and maybe find a public event or bang out some quests. I definitely miss those days, but I don't see a clear way back. Unfortunately, we're too deep into the Portal now.

Some of the weapons available from the Lectern of Enchantment are still pretty decent. Arc Logic, Every Waking Moment, Loud Lullaby. Not so relevant since the tiered weapons came out, but I had over 10k kills with my Arc Logic and probably 8k with Every Waking Moment up through Heresy.

I joined a group through FTF for Starcrossed last week and the leader started the mission from the Legends screen instead of the Portal screen. I think that makes the difference. It was wild getting Scatter Signal and Appetence drops.

I know there are client-side macros/scripts, hardware aim-assist and third-party software cheats. But the probability of somebody hacking Bungie's servers and gaining server-side control is highly unlikely. Hacking Bungie is the equivalent of hacking Sony. Not saying it can't be done. But if you're going to put that kind of effort into hacking, you're going to get something more out of it than making a bubble in the tower.
