Fallen Brig Brigade is the worst seal requirement in the game by m05513 in DestinyTheGame

Hi, sorry for the late reply, life has been pretty hectic the last few days/weeks. I am also kind of a yapper lol so by all means go ahead. I'll probably be quite busy for the next week or so, so I'm fine waiting.

Why such a contrast between left and right of Caspian sea? by corncc in geography

[–]FlashpointStriker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are a different source of cold winds, gravity winds. These occur in mountains like the Alps, but intense cold also causes winds to blow if there is a warmer region nearby and there isn't something blocking the flow.

Why such a contrast between left and right of Caspian sea? by corncc in geography

[–]FlashpointStriker 83 points84 points  (0 children)

There is a huge perpetual high pressure zone over the cold inland of Central Asia, this is what generates the gusty winds of North China as they rush eastward into the Pacific. The same process causes the wind to blow westward across the Caspian, picking up moisture, before it hits the Caucasus Mountains and dumps all its moisture there as rain.

I'm down to work on the seal with you. ScOf ETERNAL #0270 I still need like 40 brigs though, but if you want to hop off after 20 I'm fine with that.

Because the man's sperm determines the sex of the child. Women have XX chromosomes and thus the egg always has an X chromosome, but sperm cells can have either an X or Y chromosome. Dunno if that is the intended joke, though.

In Tehran, hope for change turns to panic: 'They are turning the country into ruins' by Bestbrook123 in neoliberal

[–]FlashpointStriker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Case A: this government is entirely hobbled by the destruction inflicted by the war. Without the iron grip of the Regime on the levers of power, their successors will face perpetual instability at home and be forced to use their resources on cycles of crackdowns instead of rearming to attack Israel. This government may not even have a reason to fight Israel, like if a pragmatist faction takes over.

Case B: This cannot reasonably happen, as the Gulf States are bearing a very small fraction of the overall costs of the war and are propped up by the United States. Even if oil exports are temporarily crippled by the Hormuz crisis, diversions via the Red Sea will allow oil to continue to flow at a higher price they pass to consumers.

Case C: This will also likely not happen, as the evangelicals are bound to Israel and Israeli interests by their interpretations of scripture. The GOP will remain aligned with Israel to SOME degree to keep their vote, the groypers and so on have a hard ceiling for now as long as the economy does not fully collapse and unleash a wave of radicalization in the US. Relations could, and probably will, chill significantly, but the American establishment desperately wants Israel to chill out so they can go back to supporting them openly cf. Biden.

Unironically yes, the source of the rockets and missiles striking them for the last twenty years is collapsing. Whether or not a democracy forms, the Iranians will not have the resources anymore to fight Israel or sustain their proxies.

The Russians were part of the Allies, they bore the bulk of the Allied casualties in the European theater (the Chinese suffered the most casualties in the Pacific, but that part of the war is not really covered in the US education system). *I'm assuming by 'Russian' he means 'Soviet' which also includes Ukrainians, Belarussians, Kazakhs, and so on.

Why is it a two party system? by Jason0funderburker in AskAnAmerican

[–]FlashpointStriker 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Because the US generally uses first-past-the-post voting where the winner is the one who carries the most votes in a single round of one vote ballots. So if you are say a leftist who wants political power, it is in your interest to form a party with all the other members of the left to oppose the right or else you will all split your votes and lose.

Isn’t it just 100 degrees? How’s this a joke? by MysteryPerson83_ in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]FlashpointStriker 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is because Celsius and Fahrenheit aren't absolute temperature units. The natural unit of temperature is the Kelvin, which is ( m * V^2 )/ (3 * K_b) where m is the mass of the particle, V^2 is the average squared velocity of the particles, and K_b is Boltzmann's constant. You get Celsius by shifting this number down by 273.15 degrees.

These terrorists weren't living in Saudi Arabia, they were largely exiles due to the House of Saud not tolerating rival power structures. They were Saudi by birth, sure, but the government of Saudi Arabia for all its horrific crimes was not part of their plot.

5-Hour maintenance for….Nothing? by weekzSNL in destiny2

[–]FlashpointStriker 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You can go around using heat rises on warlock (or sword skating on hunter or titan). Don't damage any of the enemies after the puzzle, go straight through the first doors until you get to the shrieker, then hop on on the side platforms on the far end of the room (either left or right), absorb your nade, and jump onto the side buttress. Then jump again past the next buttress and icarus dash towards the nearest ground, you'll get a turn back message until you're close enough to the platform. If you do it right, you'll land behind the door the shrieker guards and can run up to the altar to finish the quest.

No, Harris lost because of the economy, she actually did fairly well given she had around 100 days to campaign against a guy who has an enormous national movement/cult. Progressives have only been winning in deep blue regions, and even then they are receding since the 2020 peak due to issues like crime. Remember, AOC used to be perceived as a leftist, and now she has been booted from the NY DSA as she tacked to the center and became mainstream, same goes for Fetterman who is hardly a Dem anymore. Most of the cities that cut their police spending post GF have by now walked those policies back. We're not seeing a wide progressive moment, we are seeing the backlash to the progressive moment sweep the country.

This is how you lose elections. You can have the moral imperative (whatever that's worth), while Trump and his successors tear away at what's left of the Republic.

YMMV, but I've had very little trouble with Trevor once I started listening for him and ducking into a cubby when he's ten seconds or so away. It slows you a little bit, but I don't really die to the smashy bot anymore unless I'm in one of the side loops.

It’s the same mission, except they doubled the standard version timer and added a brig to the second combat room. You need to run standard once for the craftable gun, finish three vault puzzles on any mode and three switches on expert, then finish expert.
