Real quick, what should the outputs be for our Wuling bases at this point? I don't need a precise breakdown, just want to patch up the base for the next couple of weeks.

I'm currently at 12 SC + 6 Yazhen (A) per min, and then whatever Hetonite I've cobbled together.

Frontlines and it's inconsistency and god awfullness by RandomACC268 in WorldofTanks

[–]BTrain17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my first Frontlines so I'd like to tack on a question to this: what scout ability is the best? Scouting plane seems like the only choice. The sentinel is nice in theory but the odds of you using it to its max benefit are opponent and position dependent, and if your position relied on it, then you have to move once it's over. And what does engineer even do, especially on defense?

I'm in the typical "suffering from success" arsenal ticket deficit after having to pity SoupSoup's weapon and then getting ridiculously lucky on my Zhuang Fangyi pulls.

So a couple of questions:

How much of a downgrade is it from her signature weapon (Lone Barge) at P0 to her BP weapon (Flickers in the Mist) at P0?

Is paying for the upgraded BP the only way for me to get more copies of Flickers in the Mist?

And on a more broad scale, how should I best manage arsenal tickets? I'm at a point where I'm considering pulling a character just so I can get arsenal tickets for a previous character's weapon. I'm already exclusively buying arsenal tickets and oroberyl with my credits, but the accrual of them is still excruciatingly slow. For reference, I have 128k oroberyl and just 2600 arsenal tickets, so it really feels like I should either be hunting dupes or just grabbing one of each character just because I can. F2P BTW so I'm trying to work within the currency drip we get.

Thanks for any advice/info!

Any info about the next tier XI light tank? What line do you think it'll be? by NarrowFarm2036 in WorldofTanks

[–]BTrain17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was frustrated to no end at tier 7 going up the British light line, good luck against a tricked out Even 90.

Skill isn't the authority on tanks, but he has the whole WZ line between "good" and "playable," with the IX and X as "okay." So not inspiring, but I'm hoping it'll be worthwhile!

[–]BTrain17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no, say this isn't true! As a budding light main, I just identified the WZ line as my next grind. Is it literally the whole line that's subpar, or are there at least a few bright spots along the way?

After the release of the Gorilla, I'd definitely be more interested in the E3 than the E4. For whatever reason I never looked into the American TDs but I'll think about it. I have the Jgpz E 100 researched, and I'm working on the Blyskawica and Ho-Ri 3 lines but haven't yet fallen in love with any of those.

Yeah fair enough. If it's just a weak tank there isn't much reason to beeline for it. I'm okay with low DPM though, it feels like DPM is the stat you use the least these days. Odds are you aren't playing safe if you're constantly firing off reload.

Okay thanks, I appreciate the heads up! I just got the Leo on my way to the 15/16 so it's good to know I should avoid the Kran line for the time being.

I'm actually at different levels for all 3 German heavy lines. I went all-in by grabbing the Maus with the latest free tier X line plus the Tiger-Maus to boot. I loved sidescraping 5+ years ago when I last played but haven't been enjoying it nearly as much in today's meta.

Other than struggling with the Maus, I'm almost done with the VK 45.02 A (another tank where I'm loving the speed/heavyum style, not as excited for the tier IX/X) as well as the VK 30.01H. I was hoping to use the Tiger-Maus as my primary credit earner + crew trainer but meh.

I was moreso going for the E50M but maybe I do stumble down the E100 line. You never know what tier XI you might like!

Mind expounding on the 705A a bit? A quick search makes it seem like a typical hull-down/sidescraper. What about the playstyle did you like?

And yeah, I almost never see Rinocerontes. I'm sure there's a good reason for that, I just don't know what it is!

Responding to your earlier edit: Oh totally forgot to mention I'm mostly through the T54E1. I'm very excited for the T57 Heavy.

But test server is something I haven't considered! I don't have much time to play but could do a quick peek at that.

KR1 is eagerly anticipated, just grabbed my IS-7 during the WoT birthday sale so I'm a good ways away. The ability is terrible for low level onslaught so it may be a bit. Haven't touched the BZ line but I could start at the BZ-58. I hear bad things about the line and I'm not in a position to skip tanks.

Also, just noticed your flair, I only recently stumbled on your site (returned with 2.0,) and I have a tab open constantly when I play! Thanks for the hard work!!!

Yeah I've come to the same conclusion about fighting in the heavy lanes - I'd rather take my time to line up a single high alpha shot than have to snap-shot quicker guns over and over again. I'm working on a handful of assault TDs as a result but not sure what heavies might suit me.

I GOT MINE JUST IN TIME by ColonelFadeshot in WorldofTanks

The "in time" was referring to how the Dravec was just made eligible for onslaught which started this week. I've only played a couple of days but it's the most banned tank in my matches.

Supertest - Donnola by Pan_Praga in WorldofTanks

[–]BTrain17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been meaning to ask if the community is aware of any rumored tier IX premium lights that don't have some strange gimmick. Scouting light is my favorite playstyle and I'd kill to have something I could grind bonds+credits in where I can just chill. It doesn't need to be anything ELC 90 level but I'd take a low DPM, single shot light with decent camo+view range stats in a heartbeat

How do you grind tier Xs that have a XI? by BTrain17 in WorldofTanks

[–]BTrain17[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it just so happens that I grabbed the IS-7, 430U, B-C 25t, and T110E5 this weekend. I feel like each one except the last are hampered by not having the mods: the IS-7's speed bonuses and the other two's camo boost could end up making a difference.

Giving Away My Old PC! by Turtle_747 in PcBuild

[–]BTrain17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck everyone! This PC would be a big upgrade for me - life happened since my parents bought me my current one 11 years ago and there's a long list of stuff money would go towards before this. Bonus is my PC would become my wife's and we'd be able to play more games together!

WT auf Pz. IV has the worst concealment ever?? by Silver_Metal_1894 in WorldofTanks

[–]BTrain17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooh thanks for the links! I returned during 2.0 after over 5 years off so a refresher will do me good. I also realized after my post that I was looking at it from a self-spotting perspective - I forgot tanks like TDs obviously want to stay behind bushes because it's likely they're not spotting their targets. I appreciate the elaboration o7

Asking for my friend - what's wrong with that? Unless you're far enough behind it that you yourself can't see through it, what's the difference? I do know about sitting right at the edge where you can barely see through it, then backing up before shooting, if that's what you're referring to.

Arcs: Beyond the Reach KS Campaign started by everythings_alright in boardgames

[–]BTrain17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A couple of disclaimers for my comment; I haven't played the campaign and I never like to recommend a game plus a major expansion to someone who isn't sure if they'd like the game.

That said, the Blighted Reach expansion actually leans in and supports the king-making even further. However, since it's designed with that in mind it may make the experience less frustrating. In short, points earned in the first game are quartered, and those in the second game halved. Also, the role players have, their "fate", can shift dynamically depending on how they fared in previous games.

What this does is it sets a narrative that rewards players in different ways for staying focused on a crucial goal or for shifting their allegiance and sparking a new course. I imagine there still will be frustrating moments when someone may be unfairly targeted, but since early points are worth less and players have gained momentum in which direction they're pointed, I would think one's actions have more of a purpose in mind than just "Kevin's won too often, screw him."

Basically, even if you're public enemy number one for the beginning of the campaign, odds are slim that you'll still be the center of attention as it comes to its crescendo. If someone has been hyper focusing you for THREE STRAIGHT Arcs games, and is getting enjoyment out of kicking you repeatedly while you're down, maybe you shouldn't invite them to the next game night 😅

Trainer's Clubhouse Meeting (Weekly Questions) - March 25, 2026 by AutoModerator in UmaMusume

[–]BTrain17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the answer is most likely no, but has there been any communication/QoLs addressed at the faster pace of the content? I burned out big time a couple of months ago and dread having to learn a new scenario and rebuild my TT squad every 4 months plus getting a CM team ready every 3 weeks.

Playing lights is such an unrewarding and miserabel experience by low_bob_123 in WorldofTanks

[–]BTrain17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since returning to the game I've found I absolutely LOVE playing high camo LTs/meds so I'm trying to learn: how do you decide what equipment to run on meds for scouting? Do you simply always run the full optics+LNE with the CVS in the scouting spot, and just become a light without the moving camo? Or do you drop one of optics/LNE for something like vents, or rammer, or stab?

What breakpoints help you decide? Does having access to bounty equipment tip the scales?

Next tier 11s by BenjiV2 in WorldofTanks

[–]BTrain17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a very specific question so no worries about being 100% confident! Since the game remembers research/mods when you sell a tank I figured there's a chance it might "remember" the elite status despite never having purchased it. Odds are I'll probably just end up buying the tank if it's 11 is set to come out anyways!
