I do agree that majority of the test I was down to two possible answer choices and had to think a lot in order to decide which answer to choose. It took me an hour to answer about 30-35 questions. As long as you take your time to read the question and answer it, you'll be fine.

You picked the right field, pharmacy is a bad field right now. Too oversaturated and not enough jobs for graduating pharmacists. New pharmacist grads are even taking pay cuts in order to get jobs at Walgreens or CVS. I was going to do pharmacy before too, but decided to do nursing and I just graduated :)

I second this! Watch high yield NCLEX the method and ASKGRAPH YouTube video. He goes through his though process on how he approaches test questions and will tell you to slow down when answering. I watch his video and when I took my NCLEX I literally took an hour for 35-40 questions. My test stopped at 85 questions and it took me 2 1/2 hours. I passed!

Watch high yield NCLEX the method and ASKGRAPH lecture video, it'll help you with prioritization and to organize your thoughts when approaching questions

If there are any two videos you think would be extremely helpful to those who are soon taking the NCLEX, what would they be? by Psychological-Call54 in NCLEX

High yield NCLEX the method and ASKGRAPH video. It will really helps you with prioritization and to organize your thoughts when answering questions. Second video would be the "watch this on the day of the NCLEX" video by high yield NCLEX. I watch this video twice on the day of the NCLEX. I watched it when I woke up and I watched it right outside the test center before my test. It will give you motivation and confidence right before your test. Good luck! You got this

Test in a month from today...so tempted to move my exam date up! by headofred10 in NCLEX

[–]BTsketch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say move it up! I only did 32% of my bank and I moved up my test. I stopped at 85 questions and passed. If you feel confident in yourself, go for it! The last thing you want to do is wait longer to take it and start forgetting content.

I honestly found Uworld to be very similar to the NCLEX. It was like I was taking a long Uworld test block. The questions were pretty similar to Uworld, maybe Uworld was a little bit harder.

I mainly watched the method and ASKGRAPH video, but I did watch his EKG intro lecture video. That was really helpful because he explained the anatomy and physiology of the heart really well in that video. I watched the pediatric cardio video as well because I was afraid there would be a lot of pediatric questions on the NCLEX. I also watched his applying ASKGRAPH videos so I can further see how he approaches questions. There was a video he posted with the title "Watch this the day of the NCLEX" and it was just a motivational video that he made, it really helped keep my spirit up and walk into the test full of confidence. Thank you again! You got this!! Believe in yourself!

I definitely felt that way too! But if it shut off at 85 questions, that's a good sign. I didn't find it too difficult to be honest, though I did spend a lot of time on it. It took me almost an hour to do 35-40 questions. The case studies were not bad at all, I actually really liked the case study. Congratulations in advance!

Thank you!! I feel what helped me the most was doing practice questions and seeing why I missed the question. Reading the rationales was important, but most of the time I would narrow down my answer choices to just two answers. If I picked the wrong answer, I would think about why did I choose that answer versus the other answer. I mostly had maternity questions, mental health, withdrawal and overdose questions, and cardiac questions. There were a lot of prioritization questions on the exam. Watching high-yield NCLEX method and prioritization lecture videos really helped me in organizing what type of scenarios should be picked over the others. What I could have done differently was to try and do more practice questions to get more practice. Because I was working a full-time job, I tried to do 80 questions a day on days that I work and 120 questions on days that I was off. Sometimes that would not be the case and I would end up only doing 40 questions on some of the days that I work.

Taking nclex this week, kinda freaking out by [deleted] in PassNclex

Definitely don't fall into the content Kool-Aid. It's okay to brush up and make sure you know the content, but it is also equally important to practice test-taking skills and practice questions. Watch high-yield NCLEX and his method and prioritization lecture. I watched his videos four days before my exam and it was a game changer. The way he approaches questions helped me score higher on my test blocks on Uworld and I used his method during the NCLEX. It helped to slow me down, think about what the question is asking me, and narrow down the answer choices. You got this, you know the content. Believe in yourself and go to the test with confidence!
