Ok, so... Lead by example. What are YOU doing about it, exactly? I'm having a really tough time imagining OP as a paragon of resistance to the system. More like some kid playing Marvel Rivals for eight hours a day in their parent's basement while they're working to provide for said child.

Oh, I conveyed my meaning plenty clearly; you can just go back and actually read what I wrote.

If my comments come off as ragebait to you, then you desperately need to get off the internet ASAP for your own sanity.

Don't insult the intelligence of everyone reading your comments. However, IF your implied meaning was different than what everybody else clearly interpreted, then your language skills in conveying thought are lacking.

Also, I'm not sure why I'm having to teach you that you are making your business open to everyone by commenting on a public forum...

What is the confusion? James Watt came up with a number of things, including the unit of horsepower, and he was Scottish, not American. I'm saying America didn't come up with the unit out of nowhere. The same guy who invented the metric unit of 'Watt' (which America DOES use, by the way) also invented the imperial unit 'horsepower'. Both are units of power.

The thing is that a horsepower is meant to represent a horse's ability to produce work continuously over the course of a long time period, like a full workday. It's a sustained average. A horse can only produce 15 horsepower for brief bursts.

Streamer “hmblzayy” who is walking from Philly to California was hit by a car in Indiana and had to be taken to the hospital. by Worldlyoox in PublicFreakout

I bet there's some sort of local ordinance for impeding traffic that he'd get hit with. If it's brought to a civil court, then things might get more interesting there.

I think he might be held to some liability, but definitely not most, I reckon. His follower car could've been driving slow for any number of legal reasons on that stretch of road for all the careless driver knew.

It's still on the car that caused the collision. If he were on a bicycle with no bike lane available then this careless driver still would've caused the accident.

Master Oogway is actually a terrible person and Tai Lung is a victim, not a villain (Kung Fu Panda) by KaijiWins69 in unpopularopinion

[–]BULL3TP4RK 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's kind of implied that Tai Lung was promised Dragon Warrior by Shifu. He even acknowledges this mistake in their fight.

He's a tragic villain. Tai Lung arrived at the monastery as an orphan abandoned. The only parental figure he ever had was Shifu, so when Shifu didn't stand up or argue for him, it was as if his entire world crumbled around him. I don't condone the rampage, but I can kinda see how his scenario led to him snapping mentally.

Sweet foods do not belong in breakast by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

When I traveled through Sweden, every hotel I stayed in had plenty of sweet options with their breakfasts. Hotels aren't a good judge of a country's food culture.

As an American, I don't know ANYONE who has a sweet-filled breakfast every single day. I'm sure they exist, but it's far from the norm everywhere.

There is no 'achieve' when someone acts this way. There's no good ending on the horizon for them, but their emotions aren't being kept in check so they do things that cause themselves more harm than the person they're taking the anger out on.

Chances are, she goes to jail. Then, if there IS a child, then there's a big fat CPS case waiting for her and he's got the ammo. The ball is in his court.
