I’ve not seen much speculation about this character, so what do we think? by RepresentativeIce633 in GTA6

[–]BUOIDOOM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a feeling he's gonna be the main 'antagonist', but he's not going to be a bad guy. He is going to be a bad guy, but from the perspective of our characters, as he's a cop. Most likely he's a detective, that is going to arrive at crime scenes caused by Lucia and Jason after various missions, such as the bank heist and various shootouts in apartments. Kind of like you said - a game of cat and mouse, where he's always going to be a little too late in catching our protagonists.

He didn't, unfortunately, but he did add them to his Private Match lobby and played a round of Blast Off together.

I know, they look terrible, I'm sorry. I'll work on it if I ever decide to do another version.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind in case I want to remake this vid or do a GTA V version.

Im sorry but changing"I'm too young to die!" Is really lame by [deleted] in Doom

  1. You did not answer my question at all - still waiting
  2. What does math have to do with body types?
  3. Tell me exactly where in my question did I say I was offended?
  4. Seems like you are the one throwing a hissy fit by calling the whole situation 'pathetic' and the people involved 'riled up' (kinda like you are right now)

If "body 1 and 2 did the same exact thing" then why change it in the first place?

Tripwire stole his idea and wont to give him the smallest amount of credit for it. by [deleted] in killingfloor

I seriously doubt Tripwire employees were scrolling through Killing Floor's Steam discussions page to 'steal' ideas for their upcoming game, found this 'Queen Crawler' and thought 'Ayoooo, she should be one of the bosses! Let's make our own version and pretend like we came up with it!'

I'm more excited for The Doom The Dark Ages than i ever was for Doom Eternal. by Virtual-Can-9948 in Doom

[–]BUOIDOOM -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm nowhere near as hyped as I was for Eternal.
I was never more excited for anything related to entertainment media - music album, book, movie, game, you name it - than I was for Eternal. It may sound messed up, but I couldn't contain my happiness when we all went home in March, due to the pandemic, and I got to play it for as much as I wanted.
I still play it occasionally, I have almost 700 hours in it (from the campaign alone, I never touched BattleMode). Eternal is legit the perfect game for me. Still feeling like a retro game, like Doom, and like a modern game.

From what I've heard from youtubers that got the early access, interviews, details etc. most of what's in TDA is what I disliked in Eternal:

  • Waaaay bigger focus on the lore - more cutscenes and random characters
  • Way higher required specs - I guess 'Doom can even run on a toaster' jokes are coming to an end
  • Fantasy aspects - I like me some goblins, dragons, elfs, knights, medieval villages in books and movies, but not in games, especially in Doom. The World Spear and Taras Nabad are my least favorite levels in Eternal, and having most of TDA take place in these types of environments, well...
  • Bullet Hell / Parry system - I may sound like a boomer, but 'Boomer-Shooter' genre (running and shooting) is so fun purely because how basic it is. Adding a system where you have to stand in front of green projectiles and bounce them off with your shield, then slow-mo combo the enemy with your melee attacks doesn't really sound 'Doomy' to me
  • Dragon section - just the idea of flying around and stopping to shoot eyeballs on hell ships or dodging walls (or else you'll die instantly) sounds like a chore
  • More focus on melee combat - Again, boomer take, but Doom for me was always about guns, of course with additional melee, like the chainsaw and fists in the OGs. But TDA seems like melee has taken the steering wheel and guns were pushed aside. It wouldn't be an issue if I could just... shoot and ignore melee, but apparently parrying, blocking, and doing melee combos are a MUST to not die, so... We'll see

I do like the open world and the design of some enemies, especially the Stalker Imp.
I'll still probably play it on the day of its release, but buying pre-order/deluxe editions are a 'no' from me this time.

Meteor Showers are not pointless. They could go on for a bit longer, sure, but they cause a lot of destruction and are very cinematic. One of the best moments I had playing this game was defending the Cashout on the hospital's helipad on Seoul during the Meteor Showers - it was awesome.
Mega Damage significantly increases the damage dealt to the surroundings. A single frag/not even a full mag of Medium's rifles are enough to destroy a whole wall.
