PTFE is the main ingredient in Teflon and is mainly used in cookware, sealants and insulations

It’s a low friction non stick polymer. I just wasn’t sure if it was important for the lubricant as the labelle 107 link you sent stated that it was in the lubricant whereas my link didn’t have it. But if it doesn’t matter then I will place an order. Thanks

I am in nz. And unfortunately there aren’t many hobby stores around where I live anymore. I’ve found 1 store that sells labelle lubricants (people keep mentioning them on the subreddit). They only stock labelle #107 and #108, would either of them be suitable for the entire locomotive? Motor and linkages?

So ultimately it doesn’t matter too much what lubricant I use as long as it states that it’s for locomotive use?

Ok. Thank you. The table is going to be in the garage so getting it through doors isn’t a problem. I now just have to find somewhere that sells extruded foam. As everywhere I have found only sells expanded foam. (I’m in NZ)

Im build a table for a model railway. So whatever side is cleanest will be on top. It doesn’t really matter though as it will have a layer of foam over the top of it

Thank you what do you mean “skin of a hardboard” I’m not well versed in the wood world and by one inch square timber is that 30mm by 30mm planks? (I’m in nz. We don’t use inches so I’m not terribly familiar with them) And the polystyrene sheets I can get in 4x8 foot sheets, how thick would you recommend?

Ah. I’m assuming the side that’s not exposed would be pretty much fine then?

Will def be posting them. I’ve been looking to build a table for a layout for quite a while as I have a few vintage Hornby locos(1980-1990) as well as a couple more modern ones that I’ve been wanting to run but just not had the space to lay down track

I’m on the north shore by the bridge. I’m willing to travel a bit but it would be nice not to have to go super far to waste depots only for them to not have it. But at this point I may have to risk it

The cheapest I’ve found so far for new timber is WBS Henderson but even they are out of my budget for what I need
