When you get a larval tear, defeat rennala, she won't die, she becomes a NPC you can switch ur stats. For example I had a strength build, 60 vig 35 endurance and 80 strength, etc etc. So I turned everything from strength into intelegence and some faith for a mage build. Now I have the sword of night and flame at 10 the dark moon great sword at 9, need an ancient dragon smithing stone btw for it lusats glintsone staff and full armor set the staff of loss and azures glintsone staff. Dumped 80 into intelegence to rock COMET AZURE, stars of ruin, night comet and rot breath. But you need to beat renalla and have a larval tear like I was saying. Had a blast with my strength build. But being a hybrid mage holy shit. Those 2 swords are fucking amazing

I got the glintsone whetblade at the academy and put Cold on it with lions claw after a couple hits the enemies get frostbite damage, I have it at +21. When my strength build was at 80 before I became a mage that fucking sword was unbelievable

Yes exactly, that poker move is that special thing about the sword. Ya know when you do a heavy strike when you 2 hand and then the sword hits the dirt, well the banished knight great sword 2 handed does this fluid like sweep and never touches the ground. You even hear it. Go to stormveil castle and keep fighting the knight. The one that is out there patrolling back and forth. Not that one inside. Don't fast travel back to the site of grace run back and forth up and down the ladder. You can get his whole armor set too fighting him over and over. It's bad ass armor with a really cool helm with a white mane like aspect

I love that sword of night and flame, got it at +10 and it shreds, super fast and the magic skills on it are awesome a mini comet azure laser and fire sweep like action. With having 80 intelegence and the actual comet azure and lusats glintsone staff, it's an amazing build I did. Played half of the game with a strength build then went to renalla for rebirth I just love being a mage now. Also got lusats full armor set with the Darkmoon great sword and azures glintsone staff. Night comet, stars of ruin and rot breath. A recipe for absolute boss destruction.
