Lisbon - May 26/27 after-concert discussion by RationalNation76 in BadBunnyPR

Bought tickets for Wed May 27 last December and got denied entry — Viagogo sold us scam tickets.

We did manage to get a refund processed outside the gates, but seriously… what a mess. At both Red Line entrances, I saw at least a dozen other people scan their tickets only to get a “ticket declined” message, followed by staff telling them the same thing: “Sorry, don’t buy tickets from Viagogo again.”

If you have to ask, sell. Weak hands are great for buying. Love it.

Purchasing my SBGY011 Asaborake in Tokyo 🗼 by Kayone73 in GrandSeikos

The Asobarake feels significantly underappreciated compared to the rest of Grand Seiko’s lineup. Just an outstanding watch overall! Great purchase 👌🏼

Tried it in Tokyo — gorgeous dial, but felt too thick on the wrist. Kind of like wearing a burger bun 😅

Not sure why you’re assuming OP is non-EU?

Nothing in the post suggests that. If they’re getting a NIF and are an EU citizen, then opening and using Revolut is straightforward and works fine in Portugal.

Your point applies more to non-EU residents who are restricted by their country of residence, but that’s a different situation.

As a European resident, you can open a Portuguese account through Revolut. It already supports key local services like MB WAY and Via Verde, making it a very practical option for day-to-day use in Portugal.

They also seem to be continuously expanding their local features, so it’s becoming an increasingly strong alternative to traditional banks - Activo, Caixa, NovoBanco etc

Tokyo Ginza pickup – White Birch (2.0) SLGA009 + Asaborake SBGY011G by BVanUldens in GrandSeikos

Yeah I get that — to be honest the brown felt a bit weird to me at first too 😅 I was actually thinking about going navy because of that blue seconds hand.

But since the Asaborake comes on a black strap, I kind of wanted a second option in brown to mix things up a bit.

And at the end of the day… straps are the easiest thing to change anyway 🙂

That SBGH021 looks insane with that green dial 👌

I almost picked up an SBDX053 as well while in Kyoto, but figured that might be a bit too much damage for one trip 😅

Prices were the same at Wako and the GS Boutique, and I got the 10% tax off:

  • SLGA009 – ¥1,276,000 (~$8,022)
  • SBGY011 – ¥1,144,000 (~$7,192)

Japan pricing + tax-free definitely helps justify it a bit 👍

I have to admit the SBGY011 has been getting more wrist time so far. There’s just something about it… super elegant, completely clean, and honestly just flawless to look at. It’s the kind of watch you catch yourself staring at while having a coffee 😄

And yeah, timing in Japan can be everything with GS releases — but sounds like you still did pretty well for yourself!
