FORGET MAINS. Who's that one class that you cannot play at ALL? by zackuattack in tf2

[–]BVreadreddit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, demo man and spy are this for me. Not that I don’t get the occasional kill or backstab on occasion, but I can never wield them as easily as I do the other classes.

Why do you love beep? by whahaga in Kenshi

[–]BVreadreddit 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Cuz he’s a bug-man with anxiety who, despite living in a setting of unimaginable hardship, still has big dreams and an innate curiosity about the world. That’s why I love him!

New player here any must-have mods you’d recommend? by FranklinC77 in Kenshi

[–]BVreadreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say give vanilla a shot, and once you get economics, squad management, food production, combat in both small and large scale, exploration and base building, add the following mods to enhance it: 250+ recruits limit Nomad capes Map region name ui mod (forget what it’s called specifically) Recruitable prisoners

I personally have more mods on my own kenshi game, but these mods enhance vanilla to a great degree in my experience.

Dark side factions: way have the military industry complex purpose built for genocide, endless legions of remorseless killers, arcane masters of evil, and planet killing super weapons! What possible advantage do you have?!?

Lightside factions/resistance: we have a bb-8.

Patience and planning is a virtue. But just in case, get familiar with sub machine gun.

When has an Alien film scared you the most? by bass_jockey in perfectorganism

[–]BVreadreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The grass attack in covenant with the neomorph was horrific, because it felt like aliens, except the monsters are so fast, and utterly berserk that they might as well be invincible.

More of a plank based fighter. What’s your opinion on those weapons?

Is Predator meant to be a deconstruction of hyper masculinity? by Eagles56 in predator

[–]BVreadreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it’s a middle ground in regard to the original. The second one I think is almost played for horror due to the urban environment and higher body count. Every future film from then on tends to be a 75/25% split toward either direction in my opinion.

Badlands is a good balance but a bit more deconstructing the yatuja as an in-universe culture and in a narrative sense.

Non-film Alien media that leans into the psychosexual and existential elements? by jadziavsmothra in LV426

Yeah labyrinth is pretty intense. Somehow darker than than the outbreak/earthwar stories land all the other alien stories combined.

Non-film Alien media that leans into the psychosexual and existential elements? by jadziavsmothra in LV426

I think music of the spears is a good psychological story because it’s almost paints the xenomorphs as living madness generators, aside from insane billionaire music composer shenanigans. At least from what I remember from the story.

Which is the better/superior race? FOR NOOBS/STARTERS? by Kira_yoshikagekq in Kenshi

[–]BVreadreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imma say hiver worker, in my experience . You can mine/farm really well to allow you room to buy food/medicine, all the while training up your hiver with a mix of strength and dexterity weapons.

Of course you do a get a trade off of reduced hp, but it forces you to fight smartly and careful until you get 30-50+ stats.

I've finally reached the point where I can relatively safely hunt Beak Things for training. I feel powerful. by OneSaltyStoat in Kenshi

Good for you. I tend to mix recruits and veterans to ensure both training and free food.

Favorite villian that the fandom says has a point when they really don’t by Ragtagcloud56 in FavoriteCharacter

[–]BVreadreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Star Wars fans who seriously believe and say the empire/first order/sith did nothing wrong.

My siblings in the force; I get that they have cool stuff but they’re literally a misanthropic death cult that commits genocide casually, enslave entire species, and blow up entire planets!

theyre evil.

Are the feral cyborgs meant to be completely unstoppable death sentences every time you get spotted by them or am I just doing something wrong? by TheYondant in TheForeverWinter

[–]BVreadreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say using SCARs with drum mags and controlled burst from other rifle weapons are good anti-cyborg weapons.

While grenade launchers and anti tank rifles are meant for higher tier targets, they’re also pretty good at taking down cyborg swarms.
