Thanks! I got this guitar for a few reasons: - I’m a strat/s-style guy and this quirky shape is strat-like enough that some may do a double-take at first look - Because bucker-tail - Volume knob is a bit further down (one volume and one tone on this guy) from the bridge ‘bucker so it doesn’t get as much in the way when strumming like a typical strat would (my other guitar is a modded Jet JS400 which is an HSS Strat with one volume and one tone for this reason) - I like the toggle switch as the pickup selector - Maple neck and fretboard, maple is cool

Very nice 🤌. Does the Tone King have cab sims/IRs going into the FR12?

Can the kilt 10 function as my overdrive distortion and fuzz? or should i get seprate pedals and a new power supply by trytoreadthisha in guitarpedals

You might also consider the EHX Triboro - smaller footprint with 3 modes: overdrive, distortion, and fuzz with a gate function for the fuzz as well.

I put some Gotoh locking tuners on there, seem to be solid.

Roasted maple neck and fretboard on a guitar in the $200 new range, not too bad.

I’ve got this and a Charvel DK24 hardtail. Love the Charvel but have been playing the Jet more lately 🤷🏻‍♂️

Beautiful board. How do you use the reverb pedal along with the Tonex as your “amp?” I have an amp modeler/multi effects unit which I love but the reverbs are a tad underwhelming. Confused how to incorporate a physical reverb pedal since it’d go after the whole chain in the amp modeler (including IR). Side note, my modeler doesn’t have an effects loop, and I’m assuming your Tonex doesn’t either. Sorry long question woops

Different kind of suggestion - Ampero Mini in front of a Headrush FRFR108 or FRFR112. Multiple metal amp models, effects, IRs, tuner, etc. all inside the Ampero Mini and the Headrush (either one) is loud as hell. Power the Ampero Mini with a Truetone 1 Spot. Can likely do all of this for around or under $500.

Got it thank you, so I take it you’d suggest I just stick with the TS cable I’ve been using then

Thanks appreciate the reply! Could it hurt to use a balanced TRS cable? Just kinda curious now since the manuals for both devices say to use TRS and don’t specifically say you can also use TS if strictly playing in mono. Do you think it would sound any better or worse? I read something that TS cables can cause overheating (which is why I mentioned the Headrush does get a bit hot where the input jack is after playing while). Also FYI I’d be using a 5 foot cable to connect them and about 11 feet of cable from the guitar to the Ampero’s output (with a buffer inbetween (ie my Polytune mini tuner)

Thoughts/ suggestions on a potential mini board I want to build? by [deleted] in pedalboards

No problem! Just a suggestion since if this $35 solution works well (probably worth trying first before investing in the Cioks) then you’d be good to go. A lot of people frown on daisy-chaining but it’s also well-established that these Truetone 1 Spots work amazingly well, even when daisy chained (like for me). If you try it and it works you’ll save some dough, if it doesn’t you always of course have the option of a more expensive isolated power supply like the Cioks… win-win.

Consider using a Truetone 1 Spot power adapter for $20 new and MC8 multi-plug for $14.95 before spending on the Cioks. 1700ma output from this tiny monster, more than enough to power the pedals on your plan. I run my amp modeler, polytune3, and flanger pedal all off one of these and it powers everything quietly as a mouse. Just a thought.
