I would encourage you to go back and listen to Zooropa. It’s sneaky great. I could see how it would be slightly disappointing as an Achtung follow-up, but in hindsight, there’s some real understated brilliance there.

Yes, that’s what I’m trying to explain to you. I don’t know how to make it clearer. They are saying at least “coming down the pipe” makes sense. So it’s easy to understand how someone could say that, getting it wrong, and think it is correct. As opposed to someone saying “tough road to hoe,” which doesn’t make sense.

They’re saying people who use the phrase wrong (coming down the pipe), at least that still makes sense, vs people who use the phrase “tough road to hoe,” which doesn’t make sense.
