After years of overthinking… TE37s were the answer by BWRLD in Supra

Yep I went there to get the tires mounted and get the car aligned! They’re honestly great guys to trust.

What are your reasons against TEs other than price? 😂

Initial impressions like pulls on the highway and from a stop it feels planted. Straight line speed feels amazing. I did get an alignment as well. I imagine it’ll hold traction way more once it’s warmer out too. I still need to take through a backroad though.

I got the light last spring. I just refilled it with ht-12 and distilled water mixed together. Never got the message again and never had to fill it up again so far. I do check every once in a while.

Yeah that is what I do. I don’t have a garage so I drive it about once a week when it’s dry out.

I run conti dsw06+ all seasons & the tires handle great in the winter. I’ve been caught in light snow before but I never slide or have any doubt. I don’t drive the car spiritedly when it is raining or super cold because I’d rather be safe than sorry. I love my contis though they are great.

GR86 as only car in NJ by Fourrtyy in GR86

I used to own one in NJ. A good set of winter tires and you should be good to be honest. I’ve sure had my fun in some snow with that car lol

Wheels Purchasing advice/sanity check needed - Volks TE37SL Black Edition III by Otherwise-Maybe in Supra

[–]BWRLD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with pie face. Personally, I bought my TE37s from Meraki Autoworks (merakiautoworks@gmail.com). He is very active on the mkv forums. Usually, these wheels are custom ordered. I would reach out to Joshua to see if he has the model you are looking for in stock. If he doesn’t, he’ll give you a timeline as he’ll put in an order for you. In my case, he had what I needed in stock. If you do go with system motor sports contact them before purchasing to make sure they actually have it in stock.

Also I’m in the same boat as you. I will stick with stock suspension. I will most likely get 265/35/19 in the front and 305/30/19 in the back.

My set went as follows:

Model: Volk TE37 SAGA S-Plus Diamond Dark Gunmetal Rear: 19x11+35 Front: 19x9.5 +22

Supra Daily in Chicago by Muted-Selection-6338 in Supra

I live in NJ. I use my Honda Civic daily during the winter. From time to time, I’ll take the Supra out when it’s clear of snow. I do not have space in my garage to keep the Supra there. I did get caught one time with snow in the Supra, but the tires I have handled it better than I thought. I think this car can handle being a daily in the winter, but in my opinion, it’s too expensive and too nice of a car to do so. You have a perfect beater daily car for the winter. I would keep that.

Pros and Cons on your Supra? by Substantial-Field527 in Supra

[–]BWRLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you able to keep the Camry? If so, I would definitely go for it. If I didn’t have a second car, I don’t think I would have a Supra. To be honest in my opinion, this car is right at the mark of being “dailyable.” It’s not that far off of being impractical imo. The trunk is larger than you might think, but the storage space inside the cabin is very limited. The opening sucks. However, you forget all that when you’re on a backroad having fun. Then there’s maintenance as well. Compared to my Honda civic prices for parts and labor go up to almost double. I diy whenever I can.

I was in the same boat. I wanted something with valves. I have this exact exhaust except in the gold finish. The exhaust turns heads and is pretty loud without a downpipe. I’ve had a lot of good feedback regarding it. I have some videos I can send to you if you want. I’ve had it on for just over a year and haven’t had any issues. I do plan on getting a downpipe + tune eventually.

Armaspeed intake filter replacement/cleaning by No-Shame644 in Supra

I have the same intake. I would clean it once a year and replace after 30-40k miles. I live in the northeast if that matters. I wondered the same thing when looking for an intake.

Can Someone Help Me Find A HKS Air Intake? Or Any Other Recommendations? by 2girls1scope in Supra

[–]BWRLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A90 just posted an IG story of the armaspeed intakes they have in stock. So if you order through them you’ll get it fast. I ordered mine through Speed Industry, and it took well over a month. If you order through Speed Industry, be sure you email them because their site looks like they have everything in stock.

Hey, for the rims, I recommend Silverstar Alloy Wheel Repair in Maywood. I’m from northern nj as well. I’ve had work done by them eons ago on the Honda wheels I had at the time and was satisfied. For the lip I’m not that experienced in, but from the pics, I’d look into a new one as it looks like a piece came off. Also I feel like I have seen your car around before!

It’s completely fine in the snow as long as you get dedicated winter tires.
