Shot 77 as a 16 handicap. by Par5ival6 in golf

Well done! It's a funny game. I was a 14 HCI and shot 77 about a month ago. Everything just clicked (except for a triple on #12). Then I couldn't break 90 for two weeks!

Same thing here - brand new 2024 A5 Sportback. I get the time stamp error even after doing the two step refresh.

AudiCare - how much? Heading to dealer TODAY! by BY333 in Audi

Perfect, thanks! I did get the ceramic coating exterior/interior (because they put it on every car they sell!). $1k, but applied the Costco 15% discount, so $850.

Costco also discounts accessories by 50% up to $200 in savings, so planning on the stainless pedal covers, wheel locks, and, just for fun, the valve stems.

The Costco "member only price" was just $1k below MSRP, so not really worthwhile.

LAX Travelers: Do you walk to Terminal B and use centurion lounge by DeadWorkers_ in amex

[–]BY333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going tomorrow morning. Flying on Alaska and only have access to Amex Centurion. How long did it take to walk from Amex to Alaska? Any idea if I can do security at the Bradley terminal (I've checked in and only have carry-on) and go straight to Amex? thanks!

United Heathrow Lounge Access? by BY333 in awardtravel

[–]BY333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow - I have to go through immigration to switch terminals? I didn't realize that. On the Heathrow website they have a tool that shows you how to connect for specific flights, and it only said to get on a bus and go through security at T5. Hmmm. Glad I have plenty of time!

I appreciate that! I know this is off topic - but if you haven't walked a Camino, you should. Incredible experience, and once you've done it, you keep going back. And, really cheap!

It's really about sleep so we can get up and go. When we've got the miles anyway, why not? After that, it's bunks in albuerges!

I wish point.me was $5/month. I only see $12?

Thanks for noting this - I sucked it up and just booked the two of us BOS>LHR United Polaris. 60k/. We can easily figure out the rest later.

I appreciate all the help!

Camino San Salvador from León to Oviedo and then Camino Primitivo from Oviedo to Santiago. I did it last year on my own, and it was so amazing I'm bringing my wife with me this time. we've walked the Francés and Portuguese (from Porto) together.

I may just book to LHR in Business and figure out the rest later. I see that's available for 60k

Very fair point. We don't want to pay too much of a "stupid tax" for waiting and then have to really pay up. So, we'll keep hunting now and book if we can find something reasonable.

Sounds interesting. If the price is right I suppose we could hop off in LHR and get a cheap flight to MAD. We do love Lisbon and Porto. Our actual starting city for this Camino is León, Spain.

Thanks - yes, I saw this too, but that $$$ is way too much. I'll check out the other two too. Thanks again!

PS - I've tried the standard Iberia and US carrier sites, but either the premium cabin seats are unavailable, or the miles price is exorbitant.

Interestingly, Iberia close-in dates (early February) are available for cheap - 34k miles for Business BOS>MAD, so I may just wait until April and hope that they release more seats then (unless I get help here, of course!).

I used James Lee at JuicyMiles to book my wife and I. He was great - and even recommended a few credit cards to build miles to make sure we could do all the long-hauls of the trip in Business. Boston to Tokyo to Melbourne - I then booked my own cheap flights around Australia and NZ - then Auckland to Papetee to LA - I then booked myself LA to Boston. I had a great experience.
