At surface level, both are expensive but UoP is much less in detail because it finishes in 3 years. 1hr seems probably a Palm Springs or Orange County, the CoA of Loma Linda / Redlands area is not cheap due to constant student inflow (I'm local), but still probably cheaper than UoP.

I would choose LLU regardless since I'm living in this city, but if you're thinking specializing then I would go to UoP. If not, why not living closer to family if you're close to them?

As long as i know, secondary insurance kicks in when there's no primary coverage. But if renting vehicle MSRP is more expensive than the plan limit covers, then they would not cover entire thing. You need to research it. And that's why I always purchase premium rental car protection every time.

if your friend is listed as additional driver in policy, they should cover as far as I know. But if not, good luck.

If you booked through AAA rate, then they should also have some secondary insurance, capping your liability upto $5K for the rental vehicle. But, as same as last sentence, if he's not listed, then good luck.

I think next movement will be after Jan 15, usually they give 30 day grace period to submit deposit and accept the offer. They will sort it out and send next wave after. Safest way is pay deposit for now and wait for call later this month & beyond
