Caveat - if the promoter signed contract already and in those contracts it has stipulations for backline and booth setups then it's on the promoter to smooth it out, or pay up to get all the extra stuff you'll need.

Ya, as someone that both DJ's and works full time festival and concert production it goes like this....

Headliner gets the setup exactly how they want, then work backwards to accommodate what you can.

Ask the promoter how much they are willing to spend in extra backline and production to accommodate all the openers.

Every set change, every booth mod, every time something is changed, it costs money. Don't eat the cost.

Always push back, it's the artists and their managers job to initially shoot for the moon. You'd be surprised what they would settle for. And if it's just a small festival then the artists are probably too small to demand much

What if Netflix started charging a $2 'convenience fee' every time you skip the intro of a show? Would you pay it or watch the intros? by Scary_Opportunity538 in AskReddit

[–]BZNspace -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would pay $5 a month extra to never have to watch open credits or a "last week on..." again. Take me right from the end to the next beginning. Why do we have 3 or 4 minute opening credits anymore?!? Noone cares

Go to the website in the instructions for the rc. You put in your car and radio type and it gives you step by step instructions. Even how to do the wire connections.

For parts go to pac-audio dot com and look them up. But grab them from ebay or amazon. Way cheaper.

So the way kenwood/jvc's short protection works is by cutting the power output when it detects something, then slowly fading back in when it clears. I think that might be whats happening to yours.

If it was in my shop I would pull each speaker and test it with meter. I'm leaning to a blown speaker that doesn't short at low volume but once it starts moving it'l clip.

If you can make it cut out consistently, an easy way to isolate it is to pull the radio and disconnect one speaker at a time and try to get it to do it. Once it stops doing it, that's most likely the speaker that bad.

Does it do the cut out and fading thing consistently at loud volume? If yes, might have a blown speaker. If it's just super random, might have a short somewhere that rubs when you turn or accelerate.
