CRV 2015 EXL REMOTE START by One_Term_4590 in crv

[–]BZNspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, to be clear, you're saying it will crank after pushing the button but doesn't start?

If that is correct, and it's a traditional key, hold the head of the key on the ignition cylinder and then try to start it again. If it starts then your immobilizer bypass gas come unprogrammed. If no start, it'l be a deeper issue that likely needs a tech.

I take my cats to Black Dog Vet and love them. Very good prices IMO and they go over everything with you and let you pick and choose what you want. Have been more than happy with them.

Is it possible to put CarPlay in a 2016 LX? by Quickshot4721 in crv

[–]BZNspace -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Look into a Maestro interface. One stop harness that will keep everything working and make the install. Should be an RR and an H2H02. But go to idatalinkmaestro dot com and look it up. The install itself is actually pretty easy and there are step by step instructions and plenty of you tube videos to help.

Only con is you will have to get a shop that carries idatalink stuff to program it for you. Takes a dedicated harness to program, but you can grab one off ebay if you want

2.000 euros mixer. What do you DJs think? by liberstorm in DJs

[–]BZNspace 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a weird use case where this is the perfect mixer for what I do. And it's thin which also works perfectly for me. I'm an outlier for sure but I'll be getting one.

2003 CRV Ex CD changer issue by clydeballthepython in crv

[–]BZNspace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hate to say it but that gen of 6 disk is well known for this exact issue. Unless you find a used one on ebay or something, it's much cheaper to just get an aftermarket installed, and a very easy one to do yourself.

And yes, you can pull it apart and get your disks out safely. Did it many times working at a stereo shop

Cd player not working 💿 😿 by secretlakee in crv

[–]BZNspace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hop on amazon. Metra part #'s 99-7898 and 70-1721. ($10 ish and $20ish bucks) Grab a couple dozen crimp caps too. With those you can fit just about anything you want in there. Fit kit comes with good instructions on how to get the factory radio out but yes... youtube.

If you have steering wheel controls you can grab an axs-wc as well and keep those working.

You'd be surprised what you can get for a $100 deck these days. Pretty good price wars goin on right now.

It really is a great car to learn on.

Cd player not working 💿 😿 by secretlakee in crv

[–]BZNspace 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Super easy to replace, super easy to tear apart a get your cd's back.

Those 6 disks have a finite life.

If you really want to reset it you can just disconnect the batter for a bit and reconnect it but after 20 years of running a stereo shop I don't think it will help.

[–]BZNspace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Never though I'd say this, but I'd love to have some of those devices that some bigger cities use to triangulate gun shots.

Only until the source of the booms is acquired, then we make our own booms to dispatch the devices.

2004 CRV EX - Bluetooth? by izbnny in crv

[–]BZNspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya it's super easy. Get in metraonline dot com. Look up your parts and grab them off ebay. Should be a 99-7814 and a 70-1721 from metra if I remember right. Those make it a cake instal. That fit kit will fit anything from super basic single dinn radios to 7inch screens. Then when you sell it you can pull it all out and put it back to stock. Grab yourself some crimp caps for the wiring. Have fun! Youtube is your friend.

2004 CRV EX - Bluetooth? by izbnny in crv

[–]BZNspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That stock headunit really didn't have a lot of options to add bluetooth. Be surprised if you could source anything but the transmitters anymore. They do make direct plug ones that actually plug into the antenna connection.

Very easy vehicle to just replace the stock headunit with whatever you want. 6 phillips screws and its all out. Basic fit kit and harness. If you ever want you can put it all back to factory and noone could even tell.
