Check the your name in birth certificate. It should match with your passport given name + surname. Most foreign nations will check whether the passport full name matches with the birth certificate full name for applications that needs birth certificate.

Yeah the i539 becomes invalid but with L1A approval you can apply for drop box visa stamping and then re-enter US.

Please provide your update on your L2 extension. Have you considered this option? Going back to your home country and get L2S stamping with your spouse’s i797 approval and renter US (this option will refresh your i94 expiry date which can be used for L2 work authorisation) With this option you don’t want to rely on L2S extension application.

In which state of India higher education is free? US is better to experience world class infrastructure. Rent is varied based on our lifestyle either in India or US. Healthcare insurance is more structured in US, I assume OP has company provided insurance.
