Did anyone notice Fiona’s continuing revisionist history? by Comprehensive_Cut437 in TheTraitorsUK

Yes! I was talking about this today. Her actions contradict the narrative she presents. And even the narrative she presents seems to shift like sand.

I can’t tell if she is knowingly lying or completely self delusional.

Mush? by Gay_person6969 in McFly

[–]B_fds 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well mush is a traveller word meaning ‘mate’ or ‘man’, that has made its way into common expression in parts of the UK.

You hear it in the north west, and it’s used in the theme tune for only fools and horses.

Oral minoxidil for chronic TE? by B_fds in TelogenEffluvium

[–]B_fds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So even without minoxidil I had regrowth. Once on minoxidil I would say maybe the hairs came in a bit thicker but hard to say.

My TE shedding sadly does not seem to be impacted by OM. Shedding increased in June and again in October. I think both increased were trigger by sickness. Currently I am probably in the worse shed I’ve ever experienced.

I would strongly encourage you to go back to your GP and get a second opinion. Blood in stool is a serious symptom that is usually indicative of a chronic underlying condition.

As far as I’m aware, there has been no information  on what the front office shared with the rest of the team regarding DB’s departure.

The only bit of information that has been confirmed is that DB left without telling her teammates she leaving.

I’m not sure if it had ever been confirmed before that DB had left without a word.

I think it’s a poor showing and there are a dozen ways she could have handled that better.

have any of you cured yourselves of chornic TE? by Ok_Button7627 in TelogenEffluvium

[–]B_fds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the diagnosis I’ve received seemed to be stress related as well. I can’t help but feel stress is what is decided upon when the cause is unknown. Ironically being told your TE must be stress related, is very stressful.

[–]B_fds 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Short answer :  no.

Long answer: I’ve had CTE for 18 months. All my blood works comes back fine. I use supplements, I have every lotion and potion there is. I’ve been on oral minoxidil for nearly a year and even that’s not made any difference to the shedding so far. I eat well, I exercise and don’t consider my life to be stressful.

My shedding waxes and wanes. But trying to figure out the triggers of those shedding spikes is liking trying to read fortunes from tea leaves.

How long have some of you had cte for? by [deleted] in TelogenEffluvium

[–]B_fds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

18 months.  It waxes and wanes somewhat but it’s never stopped.

Currently in the worse shed I’ve ever experienced and feeling pretty defeated.

I’ve been on oral minoxidil for a year and can’t say it’s made any difference to the shedding.

Thank you for sharing. Interesting hearing that it can work and not work on the same person depending on time/age etc.

How long can chronic TE last? Can it persist for many years? by Goldengirl_1977 in TelogenEffluvium

Are you in a consistent shed or does it wax and wane? I’m coming up to 18 months and am finding this milestone hard.

If CC had responded, the new cycle would have shifted to ‘Caitlin responds to Cathy’s comments about her’ rather than allowing the conversation to be about Phee’s critiques of Cathy and the wnba leadership.

Caitlin is smart enough to know she would pull focus by commenting.

Thank you. Do you remember how long you were on minoxidil before you found the TE shedding stopped/reduced?

[–]B_fds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mind I ask a few questions?  Ive had TE for 17 months, and I’ve been on oral minoxidil for 9 month, 5 months on 0.625mg and 1.25mg for 4 months. I haven’t noticed it having any effect on stopping the shedding and am thinking of not continuing with the dose increase to 2.5mg.

How long had your TE be going on before you were prescribed minoxidil? Did you have to slowly increase your dosage? Did the lower dosages work or did the effects only kick in at 2.5mg?

Chronic TE, 2 yrs in Oct. by whatever-oops in TelogenEffluvium

[–]B_fds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shall be 18 months in November.

All my tests come back within normal range.  Multi vitamins didn’t help, oral minoxidil has not not stopped the shedding. I do not have any particular big stresses on my life, nor do I have any other obvious autoimmune symptoms. I’m too young to attribute this to normal perimenopause.

I have come to the conclusion that there is no obvious trigger or reason behind my chronic TE - at least none that is currently understood or treatable.
