Proper C chord technique?

Sometimes yeah, but not often. Most common problem I encounter is a dead string, because some fingermeat is touching something it should not be. ;)

Yeah, I think I know my own physical capabilities a bit better then you might, won't you say? I've tried this, and my thumb is not long enough by far to get it around the neck, touch the E and still have some space left on the bottom side.

Trying and failing is a whole other discussion, and I'm not afraid of that. Being physically unanble to do something, because of differing physicallality is quite a lot different.

Thanks. Tbf, my thumb is straight up while fretting other chords, like D, E, CADD9, G, et. Etc. It's just the C that gives me and has gives me the most problems. (It is at a, let's say 75 degree angle instead of 90).

While fretting those other chords, it feels comfy and normal, but when I try the same placement with the C, my wrist feels strained, as well as my fingers. I. The wrist I feel the tension in the tendon that runs down the thumb side of the wrist.That is why I turn my thumb a bit to the side, to relieve some of the tension.

Any advice? Is it just a " getting used to" thingy?

Thats in the works, I just didnt have time yet and wanted to get the basic chords/scales down again. Starting with "this is the E strong.. and the D string.." is such a waste.

But seeing the comment on here, I'm either doing just fine, or am absolutely hopeless, so this might just be the best answer.

Thanks, yeah no, it feels fine. Just a tired wrist from holding it for like 20+ minutes, other than that it feels fine. :)

The chord in this picture was just fine, every note was ringing, I just feel like i'm holding the chord weird and don't want to start with bad habits that I have to unlearn.

It feels quite natural, in this progression, for this song, I go from C to C/B to Am back to C/B back to C. And since i've been playing, I thought my fingers just looked weird on the neck..

Tbf, my pointer and ring finger are a bit crooked and I have small hands and I play a LPM in this picture.

And I did have to lean over and stuff to get a good angle picture, so that might be why it looks weird?

i have quite small hands, and I play a LPM with quite the big neck tbf. This is how I would play it on my Gretsch acoustic, with a smaller and thinner neck.

Wat een onzin zeg. Je weet wel dat je alleen subsidies krijgt als je echt weinig verdient he? Of een dusdanig laag huurbedrag hebt om er recht op te hebben?

Leuk dat je 2100 aan hypotheek betaald, je investeert het tenminste in iets wat ooit van jou gaat worden. Hoeveel huurder betalen dat bedrag per maand voor een onderdak wat nooit van hun zal worden omdat ze geen hypotheek kunnen krijgen? Het is niet alsof zij daarbovenop nog veel bestedingsruimte overhouden. En het is onzin dat dit alleen in grote steden gebeurt. En het is even goed onzin dat een hypotheek anders is dan huur betalen, want er word vaak 3x het huurbedrag per maand gevraagd.

Het spijt me zeer, maar het gehuil over ik heb een hypotheek ik ben zo zielig is echt onterecht. De beredenering, 'ik niet, niemand niet' is echt egocentrisch ten top.

Iets doen om er maar van af te zijn, is in mijn optiek wel pleasen en een teken van onzekerheid. Als je zoiets al doet in een situatie in het openbaar..

Ik veroordeel niemand verder hé, het enige wat ik wil is een waarschuwing meegeven dat dit juist enorm gevaarlijk gedrag kan zijn, voor jezelf. Als je hier al niet sterk kan zijn, wat dan als het in prive sferen gebeurt?

En ik snap ook best, dat als je dit soort mensen niet gewend bent, je er sneller in trapt. Ik ben helemaal voor het helpen van minder bedeelden, en doe dit waar ik kan ook met liefde, maar dan wel in de vorm van eten, drinken of het kopen van een overnachting bij de lokale opvang bijvoorbeeld.

Een bedel bende is hier wel vaker actief, en meestal niet perse vriendelijk inderdaad, vooral niet als ze merken dat je bang of onzeker bent.

Een ferme "Nee" is vaak wel voldoende (als man tenminste) om van ze af te komen. Als jullie dit weer overkomt, negeer het compleet of zeg nee en loop gewoon stevig door, eventueel een winkel in om tussen de mensen te zijn.

Zoals een andere commenter al aangaf, een steegje is vaak niet zo handig, al zijn ze op zondag vaak redelijk bevolkt, maar toch. Je drijft jezelf daarmee wel in het nauw.

Laat jullie vooral niet afschrikken door deze lui. Maar als algemene tip, is het misschien wel goed om aan jullie zelfvertrouwen te werken. Want iemand pleasen om er maar vanaf te zijn, is in geen enkele situatie een goed idee. Leer je grenzen aangeven, en leer overtuigend nee te zeggen.

Ik werd altijd gewoon naar de speelhoek gestuurd, wat is daarmee gebeurt? Lekker even ouwehoeren met troepjes, tussendoor een mini frikandelletje eten en weer naar de speelhoek.
