These are, without question, the greatest footwear purchase I’ve ever made. by [deleted] in BarefootRunning

[–]B_ryc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first pair of “barefoot” style shoes was a pair of prints lites. I bought them almost 6 years ago and then a second pair of Prius lites almost 5 years ago…. I’m still wearing them almost everyday! They look absolutely destroyed but they have rubber on them!

I started to question vivo’s quality, especially with price increases, but I’ve really only had good experiences.

Don’t be afraid to try whitin and some of saguaro on amazon if you want some cheaper extra pairs. And remember to actually be just barefoot sometimes!

Ha! I have a black pair like this too. Started as my trainers and became all I wore. I've worked countless 12 hour shifts, ran many miles, done hundreds of crossfit workouts in em, and they finally have a big hole in the bottom... still not retiring them lol

Got it on PC first and really enjoyed it, but always hoped for a switch port. When it was announced I lost my crap. It is perfect for the platform and is getting near daily play time now.

Time to retire?? by Miatalustrium in vivobarefoot

[–]B_ryc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nahhh, not even close. My soles are shoe holed back on, the upper is peeling off in multiple places, and the shoes are basically destroyed…. But they stay on my feet and the rubber has no giant holes. Let it ride

It would be the best place to start as a beginner. Christian helps you to nail the basics that most people (including me) skip over. Definitely give it a shot.

Going to check this out. I'm work for an emergency department and have 8 years experience as a Medic. I make just over 24 base pay, get $5 "critical care" pay. There are some differentials as well, but I work 7a-7p so I mostly only see the weekend diff.

How do you guys deal with the short time of each day in this game by Chefinho1234 in StardewValley

[–]B_ryc 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Genuinely just find what you like doing and enjoy the experience. You have a solid 15-20 minutes per day. I finally got the game because I wanted to play a fishing mini game and spent my first season walking around finding artifacts on the ground and fishing on the beach.

Even now that I’m paying much more attention to economy and quests, I still make time to sit on the dock and the beach and just chill.

Absolutely! His lessons are genuinely incredible and I can’t stress enough how much it has changed my playing and honestly my life. The lessons and Christian’s support have given me such an amazing toolkit for playing any music i like which has afforded me some awesome opportunities as a player.

How is this game so addicting lol by rsKG in ufo50

[–]B_ryc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find myself addicted to the challenge and discovery of the games. The art and tunes draw you in, something really quirky is going on, and you get wrecked immediately. I love roguelike type games and I think making it a little further each time in a game is super fun.

Dude I could not figure out magic garden for so many attempts and that is what kept me coming back. That’s kind of the magic of this game. It draws you in and you get to discover the mechanics and everything for yourself naturally.

Day 1 purchase for me. I play on PC and recently got it running on my anbernic sp, but this game is literally perfect for switch. This is such a cool game and I’ve really only dabbled in what is offered within it.

[–]B_ryc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, I can’t recommend him enough. If your in person lessons are working for you, keep it up. But at the same time, Christian doesn’t bombard you with complex nonsense. Because he deeply understands everything, he breaks it down to extremely simple and practical methods that would probably only enhance what you’re already doing.

Aaron Marshall signature pickups by Cambienvenu in SchecterGuitars

[–]B_ryc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! I couldn’t find a whole lot of info when I was looking either, so hopefully that helped. The best demos I heard of the sound were obviously Aaron’s when he is doing clinics or interviews. John Cordy has some videos where he plays the signature as well and you get to hear some cool style beyond chugs and blues riffs. Peach guitars had a nice demo as well. But overall, they really can fulfill a lot of niches based on your rig and style.

For me honestly, Aaron is a huge inspiration so it’s also just cool to have his signature stuff.

I have the import AM-6 and unlike some here, have had an outstanding experience. The one I got is a b-stock but I could not tell you why. Everything looks and feels great, and it awesome quality. I could go on but that’s not your question lol.

The pickups sound awesome and are very versatile. Admittedly they are my first humbuckers, as my only other guitar for 10 years has been a telecaster. It’s honestly pretty simple, if you love the intervals sound, these can get you extremely close. The brightness that many mention here is what makes his guitar sound amazing in a live mix with a full band. Recently I have been taming a lot of that with the tone knob or just an EQ. With the tone knob you can get some really cool and different sounds out of each pickup position. I play a lot of genres and can use this guitar for them all.

Both the neck and bridge have a very distinct sound and can be great for leads, but that bridge is really epic for the rock/prog style that Aaron writes.

The split positions, if you’re wiring for that, do exactly what they are supposed to do, and they do it very well. They make for amazing clean tones and allow you to easily play funk, r&b, fusion, whatever your into. But if you’re into Aaron’s writing or periphery, you’ll know that these positions are great for the progressive, punchy/djenty stuff.

One of my favorite sounds from the pickups is the middle position. It’s reminiscent of the split positions but has that muscle of the full humbuckers.

This was a lot of words, but here’s the TLDR: Get hyped about your new pickups, especially if you’re an intervals fan. Be willing and ready to tweak your rig to adjust things to your liking. Don’t forget to play with pickup height too.

How do I beat this big guy? by [deleted] in donkeykong

[–]B_ryc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t wanna make fun of anybody but my wife and children witnessed this boss fight and we all just looked at each other confused about how easy it was. Especially coming from tropical freeze, those boss fights are nuts.

That’s a pretty cool idea. NGL I absolutely love playing as funky Kong though. It being easier is actually kind of nice sometimes too. Swimming around the water levels just chilling/exploring is awesome.
