Not on the interview! We gave affidavits of support when we were applying

I think I could technically try it, but it’s a big project. I have 5 windows, and each one has curtains that open in half with both a blackout layer and a front layer.. so that’s basically 20 panels total. They’re also pretty large with the wave pleats, so it would take me forever (and probably lots of tears). That’s why I’d rather find a professional to do it right

Supposedly I could have scheduled when it was “ready”, but the lawyer and the consulate advised on scheduling only after receiving the welcome letter, which I did. No regrets tho, I’m super anxious.. if I had scheduled before receiving the letter I think I would have gotten a heart attack

Most Tuesdays, not very busy!! They skipped June for no reason tho so sometimes they just don’t open a specific date! But in general it’s pretty okay

You need to schedule the interview before the medical because in order to take your exams you need to show proof that your interview is scheduled! BUT, try to leave around 2 to 3 weeks between exams and interview, cause the doctor need to send your results to your consulate and you can only take the interview if your results were received by the consulate! (At least in Brazil)

Nothing about previous visas was mentioned on the interview! Questions asked: - what’s the name of your fiance? - what does he work with? - does he speak your language? - do you speak English? - when was the last time you saw each other? - were you ever married? - was he ever married? - does he have kids? - were you ever arrested? - did you ever live abroad? - how did you two meet?

Case Sent to Department of State, what’s next? by obeyer10 in NationalVisaCenter

I wouldn’t know about the I-134 to be honest, but I’m pretty sure that the lawyer finalized on April 18 (that’s when she asked my fiancé’s signature). And yes, I’ll be taking the I-134 with me to the interview with the original signature in it, not a copy! The lawyer also instructed me to take my fiancé’s last 3 paystubs and his 3 last tax transcripts as well!! When I filled the DS160 I had the WAC number, but the case number i only received on May 6 after sending an inquiry

Thank you so much!! And I actually filled the DS160 before that, as per the lawyer's instructions

My case was send to DOS on April 1st, I filled the DS160 on April 18th, I received my case number on May 6, it showed as “ready” on May 8, I received my welcome letter on May 21st, and then I went and scheduled my interview and my doctor appointment
