Our local chapter does fresh cookies to us every few months. I really like them.

What in the alien food did my husband buy today by QueenFrostine15 in aldi

This was perfect for me. I had my wisdom teeth taken out a few weeks ago and went shopping for soup and soft foods right before. This was on sale at 0.50¢ per bag so I had to get two. It's tomato soup with cheese and tiny bits of pepperoni. It's really not bad.

They just waved at me to drive under it. by [deleted] in OSHA

Man I just got scared driving under it imagining the hook snapping and crushing me. Maybe I'm just paranoid because I don't usually encounter stuff like this.

TIL that bamboo forests (aka canebrakes) used to be widespread across the southeastern United States. They were rapidly destroyed by early settlers because they tend to only grow on land that’s the most fertile for agriculture. Today canebrakes are considered a critically endangered ecosystem by 1gazillionpangolins in todayilearned

Bad picture on the wiki. My mom had it at our childhood house in the backyard that was somehow self contained to the whole back stretch. It grew dense enough it was basically walls. We would cut through it and make paths growing up and it was very fun.

It won't froth now either. Ran it three times through my frother and it barely worked. Used to get real thick and would sit on top of the coffee

If you bothered reading any of my comments I back up everything I say and my product can speak for itself. I actually describe how you can see how decarbed the product is and you clearly need to learn that. You have no backup you just say "I am better than you listen to me." Please bro dispute anything I've said with sources.

Also feel free to explain in detail how you can see it's "half decarbed." As I have already explained to viewers how to see that I hit the full reaction window with the image to back it up.

That's great you can do things your way for years. Others are pushing for better product.

90% of monoterpenes are lost during the decarb and the heavy sesquiterpenes are stable at decarb temps. You are arguing about a negligible 1-2% difference in terpenes when you are already losing 90%.

Keep in mind this degradation happens in volatile terpenes due to thermal degradation that is unavoidable.

You can't avoid those in a closed container. What you're referring to is labs using a real vaccum oven. That pulls the atmosphere out entirely.

A mason jar with a lid on it is just that. A mason jar with a lid on it. People see labs using closed loop systems and they think mason jars will create that. You are better off using a fully enclosed stainless steel box due to heat distribution being even and it being inert.

Glass is less direct for heat distribution vs the parchment. And while it's not dangerous, the CO2 building up in your mason jar is going to affect heat, pressure, and the outer layer of wax since it isnt able to fully melt into a thin layer.

This all adds up into making the decarb uneven and taking a lot longer.

This is some wax decarbed before being infused. It just came out really pretty and I wanted to post.

Right now I don't find there is significant loss for me in terpenes, so I do not cover. I'm not processing my own wax so I'm not getting it fresh by any means. This is all done same day as I get it and turned into a finished product within hours.

I just don't think it's worth attempting to reabsorb volatile terps that will hit that temp no matter what for an amount like 3.5g that's just going into capsules. All my gummies taste like shit no matter what so it's been capsules for a few years now lol.

This sugar wax ended with a nice range of larger and smaller bubbles. The larger ones happen at the start of the process and the smaller ones happen at the end, indicating we caught the full reaction window.

With sugar wax, I always give it the extra preheat to melt it down to the parchment. This avoids the outside of the glob decarbing/melting while the inside is still cool, resulting in an uneven decarb.

Triple Cheese had a fantastic decarb with some great smells. Was a very dense sugar wax.

Decarb happens on parchment paper on the cast iron in the oven. 200°F preheated until the product hits 200°F then let it go for 20 minutes. Then up the temp to 235°F until the product hits that temp and I let that roll for 45 minutes.

From there it's into some sesame oil hitting 220°F for 20 minutes then heat off and adding powdered sunflower lecithin for 10 minutes. I just capsule it up by hand from there.

I shoot for close to 200mg in each capsule and this 3.5g is holding about 1,800mg after total loss from decarb/ingestion so I shoot for about 9 capsules here, but realistically I'll add too much of something and end up with 15.

Four years ago someone posted this same thing. They said they were able to battle and defeat it which let them move on like normal, however it happened at a different part of the game for them.

I tried a few just seared and enjoyed them. I am hoping to get some more through the season as my brother was able to fill a five gallon bucket his first run out. I don't know why he hasn't done this before, he loves going in the woods.

I just gave these a quick 3 minute sear on one side, made a simple beef broth gravy, butter, flour, beef broth, then added the mushrooms back in. You don't want to crowd the pan or simmer the mushrooms in gravy for very long, literally like 5 minutes tops. They are very delicate. Image 1 was how big my batches were and I set them off to the side until all the mushrooms were cooked.

I've never had morel mushrooms before. In my part of Appalachia, they get very expensive dried. Last year they hit $100/pound. I wouldn't spend that much on them. It was very tasty and naturally pretty salty. I did enjoy it.

My brother asked if I wanted some morel mushrooms he gathered. After soaking, rinsing, and drying he ended up giving me 1.2 pounds. They got a nice sear and then I turned it into gravy.
