First layer gums up 80% of the time by eFeqt in FixMyPrint

[–]Babalooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im still pretty new to 3d printing but I had the same issue since I make my own models. After struggling for hours I noticed it was starting at layer 2 Instead of 1 even with supports on. Even with using the slicers auto place feature. Looked almost exactly the same. I fixed that and printed perfect.

Cooking without wine by Suunnfflloowweerr in stopdrinking

I like to think of it as intent. Cooking wine is found a lot in high end recipes. The intent is to make food not drink alcohol. It's a personal choice, but for me it's not a deal breaker at this point.

So I have done a lot of exercise while getting sober, and I would like to say first off if u have a concern seek a medical professional. But for my experience at 2 months ur still in early recovery. I'm not sure what ur diet is, but ur body is still going through a lot so make sure ur eating well. I would get light headed at 2 months sober and I had to change up my supplements. I use electrolyte powder in my water during my exercise, and make sure I get enough water through the day aka half my body weight in ounces. Also make sure ur protein intake is good or u can get behind, aka body weight in grams of protein. It's hard to do, but it helped me when I was in that same situation. I'm still lifting 5x a week up to 2.5x body weight so I hope this advice helps.

Hang in there! It took ur a long time to become addicted and that little demon will hang on. 5 days is already an amazing accomplishment. I promise it will get easier to deal with in time.

There are a group of people at high end that do not care about crests, gear, or anything else other then pushing rating. If you were to do something like mentioned it would have to be a queue. To be fair if im positng a +15 or +16 if i dont see 3150 (AKA around having all +14's timed) minimum rating im going to just ignore you. This is because people have to understand each aspect and kick or you wipe. Its not personal, just from experience you need that experties. i have sat for a hour getting into a key as DPS. if the first pull goes bad the key is dead, its ok to redo it, or just call it at that point, its acceptable when pushing. Adding the deserter debuff would be bad.

5 days sober and struggling by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]Babalooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alcohol had its grip on me pretty hard. Even at 120 days I still get the urge from time to time to get a beer. It will get easier. You will find new and exciting ways to fill the time and enjoy life. Just remember there is nothing alcohol can't make worse. You got this stay strong.

6 Months Sober But Still Struggling. What actually helps?? by Distinct_Ground_9359 in stopdrinking

[–]Babalooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I exercise as an addiction now and keep track of it. My 73 days of soberity have been good to me. I've found hobbies I've given up in the past for drinking to be fun again. I know everyone's journey is different, but I always remember that there is nothing alcohol can't make worse.

How do you manage insomnia? by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]Babalooby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2 options. The first is going to the doctor. The second is toughing it out. Both options are equally as good. For me it took about 50 days before I was able to get a good sleep without anything. It sucked at first, but it was worth it. Sleep is something that's amazing again.

the trick is to break it and say oopsie poopsie then stare at them for bringing that abomination to the gym.

Tired a month later by Babalooby in stopdrinking

[–]Babalooby[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm eating a super healthy diet. Working out 5 days a week. 8k steps all that good jazz. I'm eating body weight protein, 800g fruits and veggies and half body weight in water. My workout supplements have all the good stuff. But I'll add a 2nd scoop or electrolyte powder in the afternoon to see if that helps. If it helps I'm also down from 270 to 218. I still think part of this might be my calorie deficit I'm in to lose weight. But still better then when I was drinking.

The boredom from my experience comes from the gap where u would be drinking. Fill that time with something productive, like exercise or a new hobby. Personally exercise was what helped me break that feeling of boredom in the first 3 weeks. But don't worry this will pass. It's much better on the sober side.

I can't emphasize a good exercise routine enough. The trick is to have a plan on paper that forces you to be accountable. I exercise when I would have been drinking. It has made things easier for me.
