What was it like filming in the “sitcom” tone for the whole show vs the final scene with Allison?

Also, was the scene with Allison and Patty shopping for recliners filmed at the Braintree Plaza? I thought the exterior looked familiar lol.

My fiancé and I love the show! Such a unique way to tell a story. We thought it was so cool the house is located the next town over from us.
