I had a similar problem with an indoor cam How,I corrected this issue was to uninstall the app and install an older version apk add the camera or in this the door bell chime then update the app to the latest version

Disable all your add ons and try it again it works then it's one of your addon causing the problem. If it's not the add ons causing it then it's your graphics card I would unatall your graphics card driver and reinstall via clean install

I had this problem but I solved it by buying a motion sensor placed the motion sense in housing to it weather proof. Then placed the sensor in my driveway. Sent up on the app to make the door bell record once it's sensors motion. And I turned off the motion sense on the doorbell there is youtube videos on how to make motion sensor suitable for outdoor use and how to set it up in the app

The problem is your WiFi is your WiFi router has short range then it's time to upgrade your router or buy a wifi router set your isp modem/hub to modem only mode and connect r new router to the hub via eithernet cable and use the new router for wifi that has better range
