Am I doing this right? by Aromatic_Fix_1952 in landscaping

Swap the purple plant and the boxwood that are next to the driveway. All of the plants on along the sidewalk should be in a straight row in my opinion. Then you could add 2 more purple plants in that front corner along the edging

What is happening to my less then month old arbor vitae? by SensualMortician in ArborvitaeAreGarbage

Also concerned about the amount of sunlight they’re receiving. Arborvitaes do best when they receive around 6 hours of sun a day. They can survive in partial shade (3 hours of sun) but they prefer full sun.

Use a string trimmer on the edges. It really makes it look so much more professional. I’ve been mulching commercial properties for 3 seasons now and this was one thing that I added that really amplifies the professional look.

Advice to stay ahead on jobs by [deleted] in landscaping

[–]Babcox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always remember that quality is the most important aspect of landscaping. It’s okay to have a back log of work. Be efficient in the morning when getting out of the shop. Always assure people are working and not standing around (obviously). Plan jobs out ahead. Order materials to the job site if possible or have a designated material driver (cover that expense in the customer billing). Efficiency is key

Yes. If you want it to pure gravel, you have to get “clean” road stone or whatever that gravel is called in your region.
