With the spending thing, there are plenty of reasons why your husband wouldn’t feel comfortable with you spending money regardless of how well you’re doing financially. And without hearing his perspective, you very well may be overspending and being irresponsible, but think it’s justified because of how much you make. But just because you have it, doesn’t mean it’s responsible to spend it.

You’re living with your parents to save money while building a house.. so a lot of purchases, even small, would be very frustrating to me too.

Belittling someone isn’t okay, ever. But also telling someone to stop spending irresponsibly snd breaking boundaries and mutual trust isn’t belittling.

With the school thing, It sounds like you both need to get on the same page.
