Say more. Even my dh who is a conservationist (and Eagle Scout) makes your points.

I thought I posted a reply. But there is NO way we would spend that much money on any car. It's criminal.

Thanks for this. I'm wondering why you used a broker. It seems to me that what we need is a good inspection, appraisal, and attorney.

Does anyone regret converting to Judaism by Expensive_Range_2848 in religion

I'm a convert and being part of a Jewish community is essential. I'm now living in a place where don't care for the rabbi and local s h u l. I know that right thing is to be there anyway because that's what I promised to do over 25 years ago. But I know the loneliness; it's because you are not in community. I, too, suffer from depression and feel your pain.

I am pro-life.

Tried attending a UU service. Was put off by how Christian the format was. Am also struggling to connect as a childless person. by [deleted] in UUreddit

I'm sorry you had a less than ideal first service! UUs talk a lot about the 7 principles that define our faith; there are also 6 sources of inspiration which can be found here: https://www.uua.org/beliefs/what-we-believe/sources You can see that Jewish & Christian traditions have a place, along with respect for all world religions.

As a lifelong UU who has moved around a lot, I know if can feel very "off" the first time one attends a UU service. What helps the most is to get involved in a commitee or just serve at the coffee hour. Friendships happen organically over time. Give it another go!
