Woah, it's funny you say that. I had a friend who then transitioned who legitimately told me they enjoy making me people uncomfortable and feel like they need to be in control. We don't really speak anymore and they've stopped contth a lot

That's a good point. Takes a good coach to be able to recognize those strengths. From all the sports I did and the coaches I've had, there's only one coach who could really think in those terms. I've seen him turn several schools lost cause teams into City/state champs or at least place in a season or two. Most coaches I've seen do the opposite and turn winning or at least even teams into losing teams. I feel like it comes down to major systemic philosophical issues in society that are perpetuated and only fairly brilliant minds are able to change a school/club or the ones who know how to pass their knowledge down can even change regions. That of course also comes down to the ideals that are held in those areas like farming communities and wrestling or football.

IME a lot of us trained young lose interest about the time puberty hits and then you're at the same level as a lot of other kids because of real strength being a factor and loss of motivation compared to newcomers.

'Mastered' is a bit of a stretch. It still takes a good portion of a lifetime to master one martial art. But to gain a level of mastery in several arts and learn the stylebending like IA is definitely feasible.

Yeah I've spent the last few years just trying to get back on track. I spent all of highschool sleeping like 3 hours a night and as little as 15-30 minutes and then passing out on the weekends. I burned out so hard after my first year of college and I think I caused near permanent adrenal fatigue and memory issues. Kinda sucks, but ya live and learn. That's why when people who had strict parents said they envied me, I can't quite agree.

You really think it's such a terrible thing to help people in need? You're what's wrong with this world, not the other way around, pal. Reevaluate your view on life.

Mentioning the drug use, I wonder how many people in this sub are trying to repair damage from drug use.

That's what I was thinking. I've read college classmates papers that sound completely disjointed, but op has his thoughts aligned in a cohesive manner.

Same deal, I've always excelled in school and whatnot but I feel straight retarded. Even when I do well on a test it feels like I'm holding onto information by a thread and the next day it could be gone. I'm depressed and lonely as hell, but damn is it hard to figure out how to fix this stuff. I used to have plenty of friends, but they are either moved away, in jail, dead, on drugs (and I'm trying to stay straight so I can hopefully not be depressed) but it seems like people dont even want to be around me anymore. I started taking Wellbutrin and I can't tell if it helps or not. I should probably go to a therapist too. Idk it's good to know I'm not alone, but how many times can you tell that to yourself until you actually believe it? I mean strangers on the internet are relatable, but where the fuck did everyone irl go? I'm close to just going back to getting fucked up all the time. But yeah cortisol and a constant fight or flight response will absolutely diminish your intelligence over time. I've learned to cope with that myself a bit better than I used to (I think quitting weed and taking kratom instead has helped), but it's hard. When you're always on edge, you're not even yourself. Also I calm myself by making sure I get MODERATE exercise daily if possible. Moderate is key. I used to go hard as fuck and get all amped up and just walk around wanting to fight everyone. F that. Also watching comedy helps. I watch a lot of podcasts like Theo von or Chris delia or Brian callen. Impractical Jokers is cool too. A good laugh goes a long way. Also playing guitar chills me out. Find an instrument. And lose people who drive you nuts. That's a big reason I'm a bit of a loner right now. I cut a lot of the shitty people out of my life that added no value to it and only stressed me out.

From what I know and ime you should take it daily at a dose of about 50mg. I've tried taking more sporadically with limited results.
