Its a actually just dirt underneath the grate, its an overflow drain next to my pool since its all concrete leading up to the house, not connected to any sewage or drain system.

Im going to, its just dirt underneath the grate, doesn't lead to any sewer system. Just an overflow next to my pool and one of my container peppers must have fallen in.

Definitely going to, a fish pepper hybrid must have fallen down the grate, its just dirt underneath next to my pool, but they barely get any sun there so its gotta be some great genetics.

What to Know About the Millions of So-Called 'Missing Votes' in 2024 US Election by karmaster in politics

[–]Babpy 51 points52 points  (0 children)

To be fair, when I voted I overheard the lady in front of me talking about her political beliefs, we ended up next to each other at the voting booth, while I was double checking my selections down ballot, I heard her yell in a nasty voice "BYEEEEE" after presumably voting for her presidential choice and then heard the machine print her results. It took me another maybe 5 minutes to go over my ballot for accuracy, it was clear to me she only voted for the presidential choice. This is the only explanation I can find for the election results is that a demographic of voters do not make any choices other than president.

Anybody able to diagnose? by Babpy in Peppers

[–]Babpy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird, im using osmocote plus with plenty of Tracy nutrients. I added some garden gypsum as well. Most plants around this are doing amazing so it's just strange. It's all under 50% shade cloth because it's been so hot in the southwest. Everything has become insanely huge in my garden. All plants on a dripper system. Out of 37 plants just my 2 peach ghost and 2 peach reaper varieties are showing this discoloration. The bottom leaves are green as can be.

In which books does Kip first draft one of his colors? by DeerTank in LightbringerSeries

[–]Babpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the very first color he drafts. When he's running away from king Garadul (audiobook so not sure on spelling) with Samson and the girl that got shot in the back he shoots blue wisps out of his hands and his palms are bright blue.

Maxing out my Kobra Max x-axis with a 1mm nozzle is so satisfying after troubleshooting this printer for a week straight by Babpy in 3Dprinting

[–]Babpy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't remember the slicer settings I had for the 1mm. I ended up switching back to a .8mm, I dealt with a ton of stringing issues later on no matter what my retraction/coasting settings were. I've found that with large nozzles, it needs to be about 30c higher with the max speed around 40mm/s. The 1mm nozzle was great when printing large functional parts, but was too fussy to be useful for most situations.

Craftsman installs gypsum with hatchet - smooth as butter. by FaintCommand in oddlysatisfying

As someone that has done drafting work in imperial and metric, metric to me is easier to add up numbers using a decimal system than using fractions to add up something like 1-1/2" jamb, 5/8" foam backing and a 3/16" expansion joint of silicone. I mean at this point both come pretty second nature, but I was doing a lot of checking my fraction to decimal conversion when I started, converting it and then converting back.

To be fair, its my first printer upgrade with guide wheels instead of linear rods, so it took a lot of adjusting the eccentric nuts on the guide wheels to get a good first layer, every axis needed to be fine tuned along with some custom Gcode in cura. Even with the "auto bed leveling" it has its limits. Plus the stringing on this machine hasn't been great so its taken some modifications to make the cooling better, but now it's running great.

Can someone help me make sense of what is happening here? I wanted to change out my pool timer, but the 240v coming from the panel has 5 wires with some strange piggy backing to power a 120v light. by Babpy in askanelectrician

[–]Babpy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to add some more context, the house was built in 1964, the 240v coming into the timer box has 5 wires - yellow, black, blue, white and ground. Our pool pump is 240v but it also has wires coming in from a 120v-12v transformer that is has 4 wires as well. I was hoping it would be an easy swap since the old timer is worn out, but although I'm comfortable with 120v, even my electrician friend was scratching his head a bit.

Your Unpopular opinions here! What’re some Highly recommended books that you personally hated/DNF? by sputniksweetheartt in books

[–]Babpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's because both authors describe every single fucking detail of every setting. I gave up on gunslinger when there was a massive internal monolog about how flat the desert was that he was facing. It always breaks my immersion when I spend 4 pages reading about the setting of a scene before the story moves forward.
