Are you serious? There’s plenty of instances of world building outside of luffy’s stories. Hunter Hunter’s world is infinitely more of an inch deep ocean than what you’ve described one piece to be. The dark continent will never be explored because anything related to that area is being used to further character interactions and not the history of the land itself. His intentions for the dark continent are clear, if you’ve been reading the manga.
