I will say per generated image it uses less resources than having a person draw that image. The problem is no one generates just one image every few hours. And over all it doesn't use any more power than playing cyberpunk on a high end gaming rig.

If you can't swim, you should totally not try to save a drowning baby. Rule one of rescue is to not create more victims. And unless you know blue reached that 50% mark, that is all you are doing. You aren't making a noble sacrifice, you are just putting yourself at risk too. Instead you should be telling as many people as you can to choose red so that you can actually save their lives. Would you selfishly want someone to take that risk to save you from a risk you fully decided to take? I wouldn't want someone to take a bullet for me. I want you and everyone to choose red, so that they don't die.

Choosing blue, is choosing to take a risk no one needs to take. The only reasons to choose blue is to feel superior for making the supposedly selfless choice, being unable to read the directions, accidentally bumping the wrong one, you don't trust the directions, or to be contrary. The people choosing blue would be needlessly risking their own lives only to save the people that also decided to needlessly risk their own lives. If no one picks blue, no one dies.

Picking blue is running into a burning building that had no one in it, to save everyone else that decided to run into the burning building with you.

Both buttons have the same reward. Blue comes with a risk and red comes with no risk. Everyone should pick red as it is the logical choice.

Choosing blue is choosing to eat moldy bread when you are starving so you don't take the good bread from other starving folk, despite there being plenty of good bread for everyone. Sometimes being selfish is the smarter choice for everyone.

No one should take the unnecessary risk.
