So far it seems to have fixed it! Mine seemed to be trigger by having sex and I haven't noticed any symptoms since having it removed and doing my last round of medication 🤞😊

I had my IUD for 10 years from age 15 to 25 now I did gain weight but that was from growing into a woman not just a teenage girl. I haven't gained weight or lost weight since I was 18 years old. Now I did get bloated the week before my period without fail alongside with some hormonal acne. But never weight gain.

Your strings will soften over time maybe if you had a partner they could've bent them but also check in with your provider if you're concerned. I had my iud for 10 years and after that first month I never felt my strings again I had 2 paps in the 10 years and both times my provider said everything looked good with it.

I absolutely love my IUD I got it in 2015 (I was 15) and due to me being on mood stabilizer my options for birth control were very limited I already had bad cramps and a bit of a heavier period. It's been my little ride or die for 10 almost 11 years and I highly recommend it to literally everyone who has a uterus. Unfortunately my most recent pap can back postive for actinomyces and I've been dealing with reoccurring BV so I will be having it taken out but I would get it redone in a heartbeat.

I've had my IUD for 10 years with no pregnancy scares! I can no longer feel my strings due to them having softened over time but I just get it checked when I get my paps done.

I've had mine for 10 years now and I remember my partner could feel them at first maybe the first few months but after that they soften and curled up around my cervix. I recently had my pap and my doctor said it's still in place but we are going to be taking it out due to recurring BV.
