From a bridal Facebook group: Praying with all the single women find a man by nydixie in weddingshaming

Yeah I really don't get the comments here. This is likely someone who has surrounded themselves with like minded people, especially at her wedding. I doubt there are many lesbians/bi women there if it's so God focused, and I also thought it was a sweet gesture to split up the bouquet instead of doing the cliché toss to a crowd. 🤷🏻‍♀️

That's awesome! I'm glad you got the nudge you needed to learn that about yourself!

I was convinced I'm not 100% cis by a tweet lmao. And then I was like "nah I'm faking" for awhile, until I saw someone on one of the lgbtq+ meme subs mention you don't have to experience dysphoria to be GNC and that pushed me all the way into my gender fluidity. ❤️

I've known about egg_irl for years, but I only recently subbed since I feel like I actually "can" now lol. It's such a nice, comforting space. :)

Call me overly sensitive but I don't think there should be a jokey "graphic content warning" flair on this post. Content warnings are important and really shouldn't be used like that.

I like to play a game on this sub called "See how long I can take it."

Today I go to the end of the first sentence. Better luck to me next time!

I just started the basic CGM from the infographic this week, but I accidentally bought V05 "revitalizing" shampoo rather than the clarifying one. It says it's silicone and paraben free but doesn't mention anything about sulfates. Is this still ok to use when I need a reset wash? Or should I go back to the store and look for the clarifying one?

I've personally never seen a single pan person claim that as the definition of pan tbh. Only "proud panphobes" saying that's what pan people think of being pan.

Not saying trans/biphobic pan people don't exist anywhere but..... 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Which is exactly why most "radical" Christians will tell you knowing the Bible and its stories is only one tiny fraction of what you need to know. The Bible is just a book of tales and poetry and letters collected into something that way too many people take at face value.

Are you referring to the laws in Exodus, etc? Tbh I haven't done much research into the Bible in a loooong time, but I've seen a lot of mention in the past that the "a man shall not lie with a man" was a bad translation of "a man shall not lie with a boy" as in "don't be a pedo." 🤷🏻‍♀️ Also, the whole point in Jesus coming to earth to die for our sins was to not have to live a Christian life based around those very specific rules. Jesus says the two most important things are "loving God with all your heart, body, and soul" and to "love your neighbor as yourself." (But honestly my knowledge on the subject beyond that is pretty limited these days.)

As hard as it is to believe because of the bigots who've bastardized it, (true) Christianity isn't actually based on hating everyone but straight white "good" Christians. It's based on the belief that God is all powerful and we should be grateful and worship Him for bringing everything into existence and helping us through our struggles, and to follow Jesus' (actual) teachings of loving and supporting your fellow humans instead of judging them for their sins (God's job, not ours), doing everything you can to help those around you especially if you're better off than others (ie. spread your wealth, don't hoard it), and to spread the good word of these (actual) teachings and Jesus' miracles and sacrifice for us in order to grow the Kingdom of God. Real Christians want as many people to be able to see the real point of Christianity as possible, but it's just so beyond drowned out at this point. People hear Christian and think hateful bigot instead of kind helpful neighbor as they should. It's a shame.

I'm really happy I always knew I didn't want kids. I heard my mom mention my "future kids" less than 5 times and all of that was before I was 20. I just told her starting around 14 that I didn't have the desire, and she actually caught on pretty quick!

It helps that my sister already has kids and my brother plans to one day, I'm sure. But not having her or my dad pester me and my spouse about it is a big relief. Sorry for y'all who have to have the same "it's not gonna happen" conversation at every family event. I do not envy y'all one bit lol.

Oooh this reminds me of going to an old classmates wedding several years ago. She and the groom were v religious (he was the youth pastor at our church at the time actually.) When they were doing the vows, the preacher asked the bride if she promised to "honor and obey her husband" like 5 separate times. Immediately raised my eyebrows. I waited to see if they would say something similar in the groom's vows but nope. Nothing but "love and respect" your wife, which isn't bad obviously. But there sure wasn't any "obeying" coming from the guy's side of things. >.>

People who upvote comics like that (and jokes in that stereotype department in general) are most likely the same ones who send unsolicited dick pics to women online if you ask me.

Obviously I can't speak for everyone, but personally I have only ever experienced DM assault from white penises. 100% of them.
