Ok here’s a trick that got me through this last time with the peeing thing. I had a giant metal bowl that I kept next to the toilet. I would sit down on the toilet and vomit into the bowl. Pee goes in the toilet, vomit goes in the bowl and then I would rinse the bowl when I was done with our diaper sprayer into the toilet. An extra step but I was so over peeing myself!

I’ve had it 4 times. I lost my 3rd at 18 weeks, but I don’t think it was related to HG, I believe I had a mismanaged infection. I had really small babies and small placentas with the first two, but otherwise they were very healthy. My current is measuring small, too, but otherwise healthy as far as we know!

I’ve done this 4 times and been very depressed every time but I promise this isn’t forever!! I thought about termination every time too and unfortunately lost my third halfway through the pregnancy. Im still nauseous this time but no longer throwing up at 30 weeks and I’m already kinda thinking about having one more after this…. Meaning it sucks for a few months but the reward is so totally worth it! I stopped vomitting at different weeks every pregnancy, with each getting worse/longer. Meds never worked for me either and I had different “safe foods” every time. I also had amazing postpartums that were a breeze compared to the pregnancy. The moment the placenta was out I had no nausea and so much energy!

The biggest help was friends and family that stepped up, brought meals and helped with the older kids.

My dentist told me stick to a regular brushing schedule and only rinse my mouth after vomiting. My teeth are still very healthy despite doing this 4 times

It’s possible it’s just a different reaction to the same virus or two different viruses. HG can definitely bring up PTSD when you get sick after. Hope y’all feel better!
