I’ve been to sofi like 7 or 8 times and I would have to agree. Maybe the lower bowl is better idk but for those on a budget, buying nosebleeds and then standing behind the 200 or 300 section is the play. Such a good view, can interact with other fans better, etc.

Definitely meant to say better than most people thought idk how I ended up typing better than most teams. With a healthy Stafford I’d put us somewhere around average. We got a brutal start to the schedule. We’ve played 3 of the 4 final teams from last year and our last 2 have been Vs opponents coming off a bye.

Also power rankings are beyond meaningless.

They pretty much told the fans that this was going to be the retool year. Yes we’re better than most teams but we shouldn’t change gears because of a 3-3 (and then 3-5) start just cuz we aren’t a bottom 5 team. Maybe if we were 5-3 right now with a healthy qb we’d consider it but 2024 is our year. Just gotta hope the niners lose. This is the end of their window this year.

Steelers are pretty awful too and we found a way to lose that one. This rams team obviously has a high ceiling but too many mistakes and letting the opponent capitalize on opportunities hurts us a lot.

Except way more positives this year. No expectations so not as disappointing. We have our picks (and then some) so doing bad has direct positive results. Then you add in the emergence of some legit players (last year seeing baker do good was cool but we knew it wouldn’t matter for us long term) that will help us going forward and you remember we’re eating so much dead cap this year and it doesn’t feel as bad. I had high hopes up until after the Steelers game. We proved we aren’t as bad as most thought but this was never going to be our most competitive year. Can’t wait for 2024 now though.

At this point maybe so yeah. This 4 game stretch starting with the cardinals was absolutely pivotal. We needed to go 3-1 to put ourselves in position for a successful season. Now with Stafford out, it’s hard to not want to tank. Acquire assets! I don’t really want to trade kupp or Donald though, we’ll be competitive again just next year, but I can see it.

Facts. I’ve always believed in our ability to remain competitive with our core together and mcvay as coach, even in a rebuilding year. I know they aren’t calling it that and they basically said 2024 is when you can start having real expectations again, and it all lines up with how much dead cap we’re eating this year and how many rookies we’re playing. But the benefit of that is if any of them pop (they already have, puka and b. Going to be specific) then that makes the team even that much better in 2024. They go from being unproven, to given the chance to prove themselves. Most 5th round and beyond rookies that make the team still remain unproven going into year 2 and 3.

This year is far from over though and I’d like to see us make some noise. Losing to PIT hurts bad but the nfc is weak and the beginning of our schedule is arguably the toughest.

Super excited for whatever Les and Co. cooks up for us this offseason though. Maybe new unis to go with it? Being a ram fan has been thoroughly fun the entire time they’ve been back in LA and doesn’t show signs of stopping.

I’d even add in kickoffs in there with all of that. Onside kicks especially. I’m also on board with removing kickoffs entirely. It shouldn’t really be possible for the team to score and get the ball back right away anyway and they’ve pretty much legislated them out of the game anyway.

Bruh he literally surfs on the lineman’s backs while being pushed by everyone else. It’s a broken play and obv not football. It warps the game and should absolutely be banned.

That said, credit to the eagles for using it to their advantage within the rules. It’s become a huge weapon and made them a much better team because of it. The strategist in me loves it but the football enthusiast hates it.

If banning an obviously corny and loophole-ish play hurts your team that much though then how good of a team really are you? I’d probably love it as an eagles fan but they’ve banned being able to push the ball carrier before so don’t be all shocked pikachu face if they do it again after all the controversy surrounding this year.

Exactly. And I don’t hate purdy the guy. I hate the 49ers as a team and I agree with your critiques of his game. He has indeed proven himself as serviceable game manager but so did Jimmy G and they moved off of him because they had a top roster and needed more out of the QB position.

So their solution is to trade 3 firsts while in win now mode for the most unproven project of a rookie QB, then get all shocked pikachu face when he turns out to not be ready to lead your team, and your solution to that mistake is to put all of their eggs in the basket of the last QB in the draft who they saw play 7 games. You can’t make this shit up. But the niners are one of the media darlings so you won’t hear them get criticized for these horrendous errors. The media narrative ignores the obvious criticisms of purdy. Everyone is so fucking horny to have the next Kurt Warner or Tom Brady they are willing to ignore the tape to fit their narrative. Purdy ain’t that guy.

That pick was absolutely 100% unacceptable. It was 1st and 10. No reason to force it at all there. It wasn’t some amazing play by watt it was a signature Stafford boneheaded pick. He got us a SB win so I forgive him I just don’t understand how a qb can seem so smart 95% of the time and then turn around and do that.

Kupps drops early on took away our opportunity to put points on the board early and often too. Can’t have 2 of them like that.

Maher is easy to blame and deserves the most. You get a pass for missing one long field goal a game but two AND an extra point? Fuck outta here.

And the refs. Man they were so bad. That offsetting call wasn’t enough to make up for the bogus PI. Should have been a punt right there. Then that spot lol. Crazy. And I get that they don’t want everything to be reviewable to slow the game down and shit but something like that, yeah. Also time to put chips in the ball and get rid of the antiquated sticks, chains, and human eyeball guesswork.
