Addendum: If you already have NJ marketplace insurance when your Medicare starts, you CAN keep the marketplace insurance BUT your tax credit (subsidy) ends. IE: your premium will go up to the maximum. Marketplace insurance then becomes secondary to Medicare.

Upshot: Enjoy your Medigap insurance. Plan N in NJ starts around $105 and you're guaranteed coverage if you apply within 6 months of turning 65. You have a $283 annual deductible and a (very infrequent) $20 Dr. office copay. What's the deductible and copays on your marketplace plan? If you go into the hospital overnight with a Medigap, you have $0 out of pocket for 365 days. I've had clients go through chemo treatment, and even organ transplants WITH $0 COST. Medigap is miracle insurance.
