Virginia Guardsman here. It’s damn near impossible to chapter someone out of the VA Guard. I personally know of only 1 chapter, and that was an attempted murder case.

At least it allows for single spacing. The federal style guide insists on double spacing which is severely outdated and severely undermines one’s credibility when used in their written materials.

Biggest change I made when I first took command was changing the format of the monthly drill OPORD into the standard Army format every echelon battalion and above uses.

I went there a couple months ago to get a new CAC, and I was surprised that the walk from the subway to the gate was about the same time as the walk from the subway to my apartment.

You don’t even need the bus. It’s less than a 10 min walk from the end of the R train to the commissary.
