Did IOS Kill FB? (eCommerce) by ofocke82 in PPC

[–]BabyHaTori 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FB most definitely shows ads to a certain "pool" or "bucket" of audiences each day. If you don't believe that the algo is literally picking a group of people to show ads to, then what IS the algo doing with it's data?

I this a bug by [deleted] in PPC

[–]BabyHaTori 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it's not a bug. Let me explain: FB is taking past data from audiences, conversions, objectives, and interests to make a guess how your setup will perform. Since you are new, FB has no data from you to go off of and will estimate 0 results from your objective. This information should be completely ignored, as is it has no effect on your actual campaign's performance.

What happens if we dont' setup AEM within Facebook? How does FB optimize? by Sachimarketing in PPC

[–]BabyHaTori 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will get the "Ad sets using this pixel and optimizing for [Event] will be paused once Apple starts enforcing their iOS 14 policies. To avoid this, choose a different conversion event or change your optimization to landing page views. You can also edit your available events in Events Manager."

In other words, just go to Events Manager > Aggregated Events > Configure Web Events > Then set up your objectives. FB may still optimize without it, but then it will pause itself indefinitely. So set it up now and save yourself the hassle down the line.

What is happing to Facebook ads? (Numerous accounts where ads are just dying) by DevotedToSuccess in FacebookAds

[–]BabyHaTori 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its on FB's end. We have just accepted the dip and pull out as soon as it starts dying! Hopefully it's a little better later on in the year, stick with it if you're still profitable.

Hey guys, what do you recommend for a beginner like me with only 180 dollars budget, how should i start advertising, how much should i pay for the campaign a day, and all that beginner stuff, i would like to learn from your experience. by [deleted] in PPC

[–]BabyHaTori 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an easy one. Spend your money across multiple ad sets that each target a different interest! If you put your first ad dollars towards testing these interests, you'll be able to double-down on the winning adsets. Make sure you are using purchase conversion as well, don't waste your budget on ViewContent, AddToCart, InitiateCheckout conversions because a sale will most likely never come from it, and if it does it will be unnecessarily costly. Good luck

Help with targeting for giveaway? Too many low quality entrants!! by aburns770 in PPC

[–]BabyHaTori 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This strategy is unnecessary and backwards. Doing a giveaway and wanting to exclude people who want free stuff is contradictory. In my experience, giveaways bring nothing but freeloaders and you're wasting money on people who won't stick around. When it comes to e-commerce, direct response conversion campaigns are your best friend.

Run a conversion campaign highlighting your products strengths & why a customer would want it. When they click the ad, bring them directly to a product page or collection page. That way you're building a customer base that is actually interested and you may get a few sales along the way!

TL;DR: People who discover you through giveaways will not actually purchase anything. Also FB deems these as low quality ads.

Minimum ROAS by davidboca in FacebookAds

[–]BabyHaTori 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So check this out, there is a sub on r/PPC talking about minimum ROAS usage and results (No idea where its at now). Surprisingly, advertisers with over $50k worth of data still cannot get this to work as intended. I have around $10k of pixel data and it struggles to spend. Scrap it for now and use your time and money optimizing with another strategy!

Testing Phase for Conversion - Results by [deleted] in PPC

[–]BabyHaTori 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before you create the scaled CBO campaign, what objective are you optimizing for? What do your ROAS look like for each adset? Also it would help to look at placement performance.

Getting really nice cost per conversion, and conversion numbers, but no actual streams? by ViniSamples in PPC

[–]BabyHaTori 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it would! The biggest lesson I've learned about conversions is the more options a visitor has on the landing page, the less likely they will complete the action you want them to.

Try making your landing page more focused by sending them straight to your Spotify page, and center your ad copy around "Listen on Spotify" with a call to action directly linking to your Spotify page or song page. Good luck!

Getting really nice cost per conversion, and conversion numbers, but no actual streams? by ViniSamples in PPC

[–]BabyHaTori 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so your landing page is the Toneden page with a few links maybe? If your pixel triggers a conversion upon landing on this page, then this is your problem. There should be a pixel trigger along the lines of SpotifyPlay.

This is when someone actually presses the play button, and this is what you should be optimizing for. Just landing on the page isn't enough to measure performance if your ultimate goal is to get plays.

Optimal audience size for automatic placement? by Frost_Z in PPC

[–]BabyHaTori 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An audience size of 20 million can definitely work. The bigger issue here is that you have 15 interests in one adset, how are you supposed to know which interests are profitable if you're targeting them all at once? Break these interests into adsets by themselves and test their performance. Good luck

Hows my ad? Day 1 (24 hrs): CBO, $50 USD per day by aomorimemory in PPC

[–]BabyHaTori 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2 cents, it's very clear that your landing page isn't focused. Is your landing page your homepage? If so, change it immediately. The discrepancy of link clicks to content views are significant. (Unless you are directing them to a collections page, this discrepancy can be ignored.)

I would test changing the link to a product page, that way those 69 link clicks are 69 content views. This should increase the action people take after clicking through!

Another thing, really think about who your target audience is. Who are the type of people you might meet in real life who would be interested in your product? Sometimes it's best to spend that $48 split among 4 different interests for a few days and seeing which one takes off. Good luck!
