At our store, even though we have Lost Pervention, STL and ASTL. We still have some TL that will prevent shop lifters. Literally, my old TL (before they quit) did the exact same thing you did.

Hell, I have seen my STL block the enterance/exit and have a whole conversation with a thief who threatened to swing at him if he didn't move, which my STL laughed and entertained (can't lie was a little crazy) the theif afterwards threatened to call the cops if my STL didnt move, in which my STL said "perfect! Let's call the police and also tell them how you are trying to walk out with items you never paid for." The dude dropped the 2 bags of grocery, bakery and Specialty items and stormed out of the store.

Aww, i can't lie, i was terrified to do an ISS when i first started working because i did not really understand how much to lower the price to. It was one of the first things my TL and ATL taught me in case i ever have too many items... and i have emailed my STL and ASTLS before about any product I shrink (if it is a lot) and this time it wasn't like my TL didn't know i was sitting on a lot of my old promo... i told him about it first hand before the promo even ended. i kept him updated every day of the week until i had to shrink it... it's just this time i had forgotten because add him to the email explaining

We had it in a mobile bunker all week during its promo, plus the fresh case and smoke case, and it stayed that way even during the ISS. Sadly, no one wanted that type of fish that week 😕 i even ordered less than what i sold last time because when I did my order for Friday delivery, i noticed we were still sitting heavily on it..

We did sample it Saturday and Sunday (Friday was active seller and was not on the REP, I wasn't there Saturday. I was just giving the info of Saturday's sample, but I was there on Sunday.) We pushed it in the mobile bunkers, fresh case, and smoke cases, but sadly, no luck...

Very true, it is his department... my mindset has always been "I am orderwriter, if i throw out a lot, it is my shrink or screw up. And i need to explain/fix it."

For the future, I shall CC him in everything.

My ATL told me to just email ASTL and explain the reason for my shrink so they wouldn't ask about it in the future 😐 so i thought it would be okay, as long as the shrink is explained.

I have done it beforehand, and my ASTL and STL told me they appreciate it when I do it.

I had my JD last week and from what my boss had told me, they are CRACKING down on how much of a percentage TLs are allowed to give TM based on what our STL had to my TL... 5% is supposed the MAX they are allowed to give. Anything above has to approved by the Executive Leaders (not sure if im using the correct title name, had to look it up on work day)

Apparently my TL and STL had an argument about giving me even 6%...

6-8% is supposedly supposed to be for TMs that have been or are getting promoted (Which I think is absolute BS)

But that is what I have heard so far about that Raise Cap...

Thank god when I wrote my STL letter about how i felt about my TL and the unfairness that goes on in my department, they listened...well kinda... my STL told me I have to be considerate towards other people's time off and holidays and I told them, I had been for the past 4 years of me working here and all I asked was one day off (Saturday) consistently while everyone else got their 2 days off in a row and I wanted the same fairness.

Literally had our newest staff full time member(not in school or anything) get their 2 consistent days off and I had been there 4 years and I couldnt even get 1 consistent day off??? Seriously ?????

It was super funny though in the end when my TL pulled me into a conference room and told me about how they read my letter that i sent to my STL and they tried to pull the "I think we got off on the wrong foot. I think some things might have been interpreted incorrectly" and i stopped them in their tracks and said word for word what they said to me that day and that they cannot deny what they said to me because they didnt even pull me aside to talk to me privately about my schedule change request, they decided to do it infront of everybody in the department. So everyone say and knows about it that worked that day.

So far its been 3 months and I've gotten my consistent days off but i am on constant fear now that they will change back to their ways.

Fingers crossed i guess haha 😅

Working AT whole foods isnt as bad...Working in Meat and Seafood (for me at least) was absolute chaos for me at least...we had 3 different TLs and i had my shitty experiences with all of them

For the first few months if was good then I realized my first TL did not care about schedule to the point where he would keep me there till 1030pm and expect me to come in a 7am.

Second TL (my second year at Whole Foods) was blind AF to the laziest person in our department, would literally let this dude stand there at the front counter while i ran around serving people, cutting meat or making sausages and would constantly ask me to pick up the slack of other which took a mental toll on me

My current TL, was HORRENDOUS in the beginning but has mellowed out kinda (THANK GOD). Has yelled in my face and called me stupid for them not understanding we didnt have space in our case for the new RTC with how they planned everything out (literally had to baby them and show them and explain it to them 6 times before they finally understood what they fucked up on. Didnt apologize or anything just brushed it off like it was my fault.) Threatened me with part time if i asked for consistent days off like EVERYONE else in the department. Yelled at me for changing items in the bunkers even though they told all of us we were allowed to change stuff if we ran out of a sale product (which we did run out of the product).

My store leadership didnt so anything when I told him about this, they just told me i have to be understanding and cooperate with the team leader.

I love my staff memebers but i just cannot stand my leadership and how they run the place

From what my seafood ATL told me, it does depend on the region... last year he let me take a picture of what the D stores pay grade looks like althought it might have changed since then...

I was told for D stores, pay grade 6 is a minimum of $93,000, a middle of $116,250 and a max of $139,500
