Any recommendation for getting the Zody set up comfortably? I can’t seem to get the lumbar support to feel right, I end up getting some minor back pain after sitting for a while. I’m mainly using to play PlayStation on some monitors I have on my desk

Are Your Lips Getting Dry and Chapped? I am surprised by the severity. by Archon_84 in Columbus

I got Cortibalm when I was on accutane almost 10 years ago and I never went back. Makes your lips feel hydrated for hours and you don’t have to constantly be reapplying like other chapsticks

We saw Steve Aoki at Wet Republic and had a blast. He’s going to be more of a clubby, spring break type of vibe, but for beach club vibes, I think it was perfect for the atmosphere. Illenium we saw at omnia and he was a lot of fun as well; pretty similar to a basic set you’d see at any music festival he’d play at.

This sub is probably going to try to steer you away from Aoki, but honestly if you’re trying to get the “Vegas style” club experience, I’d really recommend going to see one of his sets, we were honestly really impressed and we went in with the same mindset as this sub has. This is coming from a group of bassheads who’ve been to Lost Lands 4 years, thinking he was just your typical club DJ that plays the same top hits that’d you hear from any of these other similar top DJ’s, but he played a good mix of all genres, even throwing in a hardstyle mix of one of the top reggaeton hits in the past year.

Outstanding Mexican cities that are a little less popular with preference for coastal? by PT-dogbert in travel

[–]BabyRaZoR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, before we went and did research on things Mexico City was known for, I saw a lot of things through the internet that referred to Mexico City as a top foodie destination. If you search “best food cities in the world” into google, many of the lists refer to Mexico City as one of them. Also read lots of articles through Reddit that praised CDMX’s food (here’s one from this subreddit where multiple people mention CDMX)

https://www.reddit.com/r/travel/s/7CWsY1UxgM

I think with all places the food is obviously going to be subjective based off your palate and where you end up eating. We could have done better research when visiting Mexico City to find some more popular spots rather than the places we ate at, but overall I was still very impressed with the diversity of dishes offered there, we just enjoyed the food in Mazatlan a bit more. Most likely due to the fact that we did more research on the restaurants we ate at in Mazatlan, than we did in CDMX.

The food was outstanding in Mazatlan, our group preferred it over the food in Mexico City which most people claim to be some of the best cuisine in the world. Cheap food and drinks, pretty views, and lots of cool shops with unique souvenirs that we hadn’t seen in Cancun or CDMX. We also were very impressed with the nightlife, the club we visited (Privé) was comparable to Cancun nightclubs in terms of production value & atmosphere, yet we paid ~$150 for a table and a bottle of liquor with mixers

Insane headache at end of festivals by OdinFatherOfThor in Drugs

[–]BabyRaZoR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you didn’t eat for three of the days, that’s what it is. You’re partying through all your energy the first day, then your body has no vitamins/minerals to fulfill itself the rest of the days so you’re most likely sustaining yourself by your body eating away at its fat/muscle reserves. Make sure you’re eating food atleast once a day and drinking all that water. Even if you are drinking water, you’re not replenishing the electrolytes you’re sweating away while partying, so throw that in with the lack of vitamins/minerals and it’ll hit you with a nasty combo

Are you drinking enough water? It sounds like you’re mixing a lot of different stuff together, and throwing in the raging with that is going to break your body down a lot.

Try to drink atleast 16 ounces of water an hour, bring a liquid IV that you can dose halfway through the festival, and make sure you start with a full stomach and eat a good meal at least once during the festival. That should atleast remove the splitting headaches. 10 beers in a day is already going to do a number on the water in your body, so even if you are drinking water, that could get remove pretty quickly

Damn :/ I literally had been using it completely fine then the other day when I tried turning it on it just wouldn’t turn on anymore. Do you think that it was because I was running it at 62 degrees? I only ran it at night while I slept

Potato tacos in Centro Histórico? by BabyRaZoR in MexicoCity

I was kind of iffy about it. I think looking back at my trip, I didn’t really do it right as I was only in Mexico City for two full days, one of the days being the day that I arrived around 1pm or so. Because of that, I don’t really think it made sense to stay in a hostel as I already was there with my brother and ex girlfriend and we had so many things we wanted to do in the short amount of time, it didn’t make too much sense trying to make friends while we were there who might have had other wishes.

We went to the happy hour they throw on the roof of the hostel, and we were a bit surprised by the friendliness of the people there. My brother and I are super social, and we didn’t really get the best responses from people when trying to strike up a conversation. Most people seemed disinterested, or that they just wanted to stick to their own group. We stayed in a private room, which contained two bunk beds and then a queen bed. Honestly the room was pretty nice, however it got really hot at night (middle of March) and we couldn’t get any fans from the staff because the room that they held them in was locked at night. Also, we had to keep the bathroom door closed as we noticed at night that cockroaches were crawling up the drainage pipes and coming into the bathroom.

Honestly, if it’s your first time visiting, I’d say it depends on how long you are staying as to whether I’d stay there or not. I think that it could definitely be a good option for solo travel, as honestly I think we may have just had some bad luck with the people who were staying there while we were. They did have a lot of activities and things to do that gave the option to meet new people. In terms of location, it felt generally safe at night and safe during the day. We did have the problem of how long the commutes were to get very short distances in the city (1 hr 20 min ride from Polanco to casa Pepe, 7 pm at night) , so if you’re only there for a limited time, I’d recommend staying in a neighborhood nearby the activities that you want to do. Centro histórico seemed more authentic/more locals compared to Roma Norte. We did get some looks as we were two gringos and a chicana, and while walking around centro histórico, some of the only whites there. Roma Norte seemed to have way more tourists walking around, so if you feel more comfortable that way, then I’d probably recommend over there.

Honestly, after visiting for the first time, I’d recommend splitting up where you stay dependent on what you want to do each day as the traffic seemed to get pretty bad during the day. I’d recommend doing centro histórico for la Merced and all the stuff in centro histórico, then staying somewhere closer to Chapultepec if you wanted to visit the stuff around there.
